the phn as a whole is very solid...i have droped it 4 times already and no problem at all....also something to be noted the is the red/blue structure in the middle protects the internal parts

The feature is pretty good, espcly the music plyr. But why this cell phone belong in the cheapest XM one? I think its becoz of the material, looks so plastic, cheap plastic! Like a kid's toy!

guyz,, i think this mob is awesum and am thinking of buying it ,, bt plz let me kno 2 things.....
1. can this phone practically support 4-8 gb memory card...... i mean whether ny1 really tried??
2. i heard dat only nokia memory card (4-8 gb) is supported ,, i mean dat others like kingston ,, transcend or sandisk ,, create problems like it deletes all the data on card in 1 day and again has to be inserted 2 da card?? is it true,, plz let me kno ,, sum1 using other than nokia mem cards having this prob......
bcoz i really wanna buy this phone xcept for dat..

Set is ok, But head phone is poor to support stereo sound quality.If u want to buy this set u should buy another headphone separately.

hasanz, 25 Apr 2009sorry the previous post had some typos i am thinking of ... moreI'm using oxford dictionary that is 4.7 mb in size and it works without any problem...to install it you will have to copy it in the data storage mode...pc suite wont allow copying anything(java) above 1 mb...

ok in terms of both price and sound quality I would recommend 5130...
5130 costs INR 5800
5220 " INR 7200
the price difference is about 1400 and you can buy a good quality earphone like creative EP-630 for around INR 800 to get full advantage of the good quality music...and you still save 600 bucks
for ppl who dont care for that extra bit of audio quality and want a really stylish slim phone...may go for 5220

With all the same speaker/headset used and HUMAN EARS used, both do not show any big difference. I do not know if you test the audio quality through the audio tester or whatever.
So the smartest way you could ask yourself is that you prefer the un-symetrical form (5220) or common form (5130)? Both have youngful and energic design.

sorry the previous post had some typos
i am thinking of buying nokia 5130 xpressmusic, but i want to know if there is some limit on the size of java applications ? i have java apps installed on my sony ericsson, and the 2 java dictionaries that i have, have sizes 1.5 mb and 4-5mb wich are easily installed and used on SE but would not install on Samsungj700(it said jar file size was out of allotted limit.) so want to ask if nokia 5130 would support jar files of 1mb and above.
