they end up disconnecting the earphones then answering the call..
All XM owners i know DONT carry the adaptor around! becuase of the built in 3.5mm jack..

There is no need to disconnect it from the phone if music was playing before the incoming call. I own a 5310xm, so i can personally testify to this

How about you got a Phone call while you were listening to Music ?
what you would have to do is disconnect the earphones of the XpressMusic 5130 or any of the XM phones and then answer the call ......
to me thats just stupid!
Now if you were listening to Music on a SE Walkman and you recieved a phone call while listening to Music since it uses a ADAPTOR with a MICROPHONE on it! the call can be answered directly!
It seems Nokia didnt think of that when they were making the XM phones?
That just shows SE still considers there Walkman Phones as PHONES

walkman just a brand , take from SONY not SE create it themselve
nokia xpress music is created by nokia,not using famous brand
just spend 40$ buy a 2.1channel speaker plug it into 5130XM WITHOUT USING ANY ADAPTER see which one get the louder sound , 5130XM or walkman any phone

ss, 13 Nov 2008will just adding music keys and 3.5mm jack make a phone mus... moremay not be! but we can esily play the music and with the DAC-33 chip we'll have good music calarity. so that it might be music phone, a good music phone

Nokia has been my favorite brand ever since i got my N80 a couple years ago...but now i think nokia if focusing more on quantity than quality...making the same old designs over and over again...not focusing on weather the design is good or not.

apple iphone which build in ipod software also using the 3.5mm jack but not like some music branded phone using own port
anyway 2.1/5.1 channel speaker which using 3.5mm jack suitable for 5130xm use
no need any adapter just plug in the 3.5mm jack into the 3.5mm port
without loosing the sound quality

u r right, modifii...
having 3.5mm jack doesnt make a phone music based. it should have something that can make music an important thing, like having a special audio chip, or louder sound, high storage of songs.
but somehow Nokia is trying to satisfy the common people atleast with the name "Xpress Music"
Good Luck Nokia.But dont play with the common man.

Agreed, this days every manufaturer wants cream of music phone segment and thus they are badging regular phones as Walkman or XpressMusic (no offence). I am not critisizing any company but they should keep these music phones different from regular phones. Even they provide regular headsets with music phones, i dont understand their logic in this.
Anyways, this phone should have atleast good set of stereo speakers built in to be recognized it as music phone.
