The nokia 5130 expressmusic phone is a nice phone.
I have used it for a year now. Coming to the memory expansion, the one which am using is 4GB Micro sD, and am planning on upgrading it to 8GB very soon. Pls for the sake of the phone i will not advice any one to use 16GB on the phone cause the phone internal memory is too small to carry a load of such nature.
There are problems you may encounter while using either 4GB OR 8GB which is hanging on the side of the phone. This will occure IF the phone is operating under a low internal memory say from 15MB DOWN to 1MB.
Remember the phone internal memory is 30MB, so ensure that at least up to 23MB or 24MB is available for the phone to enable it carry a load of such capacity(4GB OR 8GB) with out hanging.
If possible delete all games, music and applications that came with the phone in other to secure some memory space for the phone and once this is done and the phone internal memory is up to 23MB the phone is good to go for any load say 4MB or 8MB. Or download bluetooth file transfer which will help you delete the graphics and some music that came with the phone, but there is a theme two to be precise that can not be deleted, so you can leave them.
Pls when using the phone with such big memory card always remember to move every received items to the memory card. Pictures, all downloads and musics to memory card always free the phone memory of loads for the sake of its serving you efficiently. This also is applicable to other mobile phone using memory card. i lke the phone. The first blue phone i bought i gave it to my sister. Today i i bought the same red phone. Very loud music and good picture qaulity.

I m using this from 25 may 2010. Still there's no problem in my phone I faced. But I don't like the sound quality of it. I think "sony erixon" is the best for sound quality.

5130 is no doubt a good phn.it's hardware is very good.bt it's firmware is very vulnerable&unreliable.5 of my frnds hav it and all of thm r facing prob wit it's firmware.the firmware is crashing within 5,6 months.mine's internet function totally crashed.my frnd's gallery gone invisible.othr one is as slow as tortoise.so bfor buying thnk twice.i tried reinstalling the firmware,bt nt only i bt also my friends hav failed to do it.
