just got to see this phone in the stores awhile ago, and when you actually get to hold it in your hand... you barely notice the unorthodox angles of the phone and since you have the music controls on the side of the phone, the shape actually makes sense. i'm planning to get this phone but i still need to save up for a PS3. XD

I saw this phone yesterday at the nokia store in rock well (makati). I wanted to get the 5310 and notice this phone. I have to agree the design is some what...orthodox lol!. The sales person told me that it's a newer and cheaper alternative for the 5310. When comparing the two, I found it much easier to text with the 5220 and theoretically this device should have a longer battery life...and that's what i want, a phone where you can easily text and a long battery life with some great extra bonus features!. I will post you guys again regarding the battery life when i have completed at least 5 charging cycles...till then i'll keep my fingers crossed!

many people can say that this music phone have a weird body. but I prefer to say that this phone is unique. I love every aspect of this phone except for the camera that only give us 2 mp & whithout autofocus & flash. a little bit dissapointed about that...

It's being said, you can love it or not. but we must agree that Nokia 5220 is good when it comes to compare the features it offers for this cheap price. i'm a Nokia fans but i'm not blind when a get to analyze Nokia's phones. Personnaly i think Nokia 5220 will be very appreciated by everyonee who loves music.Don't forget these series are music orientated, so don't try to criticize the camer as it's an added option. I get the 5310. since last december and i did not face any problem. Just by comparing its sound with other music phone i realized Nokia knows very well what it is doing and i'm gonna buy the 5220.

some thing very raw look with assymetric look with mono speakers with stereo effects and un believable 24 hrs continious music playback .......

They jz released a differnt phone to appeal to different ppl..
What would be the point of releasing a different phone with the SAME design?
Besides,no design is gonna be loved by evry1..
I personally like that it's really quirky..

Hi everybody, there is a review of the 5220xm at mobilereview.com. The pictures actually look better than what GSMArena have.
Another plus is that it has a competent music player, and the battery life is better than most s40 phones.

i'm gonna buy this when this is out! :) i don't like Nokia's 16M colored display phones!!! Their battery S.U.C.K.S bigtime!!!!!!! I like this 5220 better coz' it only has 256k colors for its display and so we can expect a longer battery life.. what's the use of the phone if it dies on you every single day! what a waste! i sold my nokia 7500 prism and bought a new sony ericsson k770i coz' my prism's battery only lasts for a day.. now my SE k770i lasts for more than 3 days!!!!! top that nokia! =P hehe.. and speaking of display, even though the prism has 16M colors and my SE K770i only has 256K colors, they look the SAME!!!!!! :p no difference at all.. their display quality is so much the same!
