ghanta rocks .... .this moble is rubbish
1. the music player n camera gets hanged up frequently
2. it gets switched off automaticlly
2. sometimes,it does not make or receive any call
3. call ringer also dosent work
4. it shows the incorrect time of receiving sms
5. phone memory is almost empty..but still it shows to delete some items as the memory is full
6. whenever we delete a clicked image, it shows "unable to delete"
7. many applications fail to open
What else u need now ???? Just dont buy it

i have been using this phone 4 the past 5 months and this thing completely rocks !!!! the music quality is simply awesome ! the stereo speakers are really loud !! very easy to use and the camera quality is also good...only the video quality is a bit poor..Overall its a must buy for all music loverzzz !!

hey guys this mobile really cooooooooooooool there r few comments from some ppl like s/w problem etc etc etc..........but the only thing is which ever phone it may be,u hav 2 use it the way ur supposed to do.................so u can opt for it

Its shape and style is good i mean its lool is good but its work and softwares r simple just boring.nothing special in it............lozzzzzzzzzz

Firmware version 6.51 has been removed from Nokia update. They are back to the older version 5.63.
No official reason has been given, but 6.51 has been known to cause different problems, themes corruption is one of them.

plssssss DONT BUY THIS PHONE if you are really looking for problem then you can go for this.. has everyproblem, it gets hung, it'll get automatically switch off.. and when it becomes 3 months old it will give software problem.. dont ever opt for this phone specially,...

If u r planning to buy 5220 then DO NOT BUY this phone.
i m using this phone from last 6 months and there r the pros and cons(advantage-disadvantage)
cons
1. very bad display if u see from angle then there is a problem with its display.
2. music sound quality both in speakers and ear pieces is not good. and also not too loud.
3.camera is 2 mp but its even worst than vga camera.
4. battery backup is not too good.
now pros
1. good design.
2. music lights,when u play music then these lights blink.
Now if u want to waste ur money then Go buy this phone,otherwise if u value ur money then DO NOT BUY this phone.

:i purchased nokia 5220 in october 2008
till may i had taken my phone several times to the nokia care but in may there were display problems like in an incoming call there were lines displayed on the screen i tool it to ths nokia care on 26 th of may and they said it cannot be repaired in Dombivli they will have to send it to the head office then after sum 1 or 1 and a half weeks i got my phone back but it was not mine i told them this is not my phone then they how ever convinced me that that was myphone the phone which i was provided with has a lot of scratches on its body n also on the screen but my phone was brand new there were no scratches but after words again hanging problems started all the files were corrupt so i tool it to the nokia care when they checked my serial number instead of my name there came a name Pramod Choudhari and they were asking me 'aap ne pehele doos re naam pe phone diya tha kya???' i saying 100 times no.....then also they did not admit. i had registered my previous phone ie my own nokia 5220 in my nokia n i found my original serial number and the phone which i have now has a different number ie ************** its different so what should i do now to get my phone with serial number ************** but i am not going to accept my phone if it is damaged or any thing happens to it ...by the person by whom it is used now i want replacement of my phone i am not going to use any one else's phone please tell me what should i do.........
and today evening i am going to nokia care and i am going to yell at them cozzz why the hell did i not get my phone back....
and my phone is of red colour and the default theme is blue now it looks....just horrible.......plzzzzz help me as soon as possible]

The firmware version 6.51 improves overall system stability.
Here's what I've noticed:
I have seen a huge improvement in video playing capabilities. High bitrate files used to skip and lag badly whether in fullscreen or not. This has been resolved.
Plus a few shortcuts created by way of additional key mapping in selected applications.
Navigation in the menus has been sped up.
Launching and closing of apps also seem faster.
Music playback volume seems to have been increased with better clarity as well.
Good update overall, I reckon.
