Im using this phone since the past 6 months and continuesly updating my phone software, how ever when I updated the software to version 5.63 the animation on the loading baar was gone and it showed a "question mark" I re-installed but nothing changed.. then after some time I switched my cell phone off for changing the sim and when I opened it something was wrong ... The phone memory was WIPPED out completely the whole 28MB was free, The default theme was gone, the music player was not openeing, giveing the message not enough memory... the transiction effect, if on then the screen was blinking on every move.. I try to update my phone software but It was not getting detected on my pc any more and when I installed the pc suite it got the phone and still was not able to update the phone. in the end when it says 15 min remaining my phone stuck and it says BBS AGENT driver not installed.. Im seriously confused whats wrong with it and what caused it, I Love my phone and I want it to be the way it was.. Any of you faced this problem? how can I repair it since its a Software malfunctioning issue and not hardware.

firmware 6.51 is good, the sound quality improved alot, it's actually much better than 4.00 which previously had the best sound quality.

awid, 12 May 2009My 5220 is very good. Just update it to v6.51 and am satisf... moredude, w910i has crappy sound quality it has low volume and it sounds muddy using headphones. 100% volume on w910 = 30% volume on 5220

tazz, 12 May 2009from where to get v6.51??to update u must have install the nokia pc suite that comes with the phone's cd.open it and click the update software icon ( green color ).Of course u must be online. During this period the phone will on & off by itself .Just let it do its job. When its done it will reset itself and thats all.

My 5220 is very good. Just update it to v6.51 and am satisfied,so far no more shutting down problems.Its sound is good but the sonyW910i is just a bit better soundwise.Sometimes I find it a bit difficult to differentiate the sound quality with the sony W910i. It is that good.My battery is also very good .See how many g-o-o-d-s i have to say here.

sound quality is not good to hear with the loud speaker however is is excellent to hear with the head phones or walkman

forgot to say, with fw 6.51 acessing the memory card is WAY faster. so long for the 1s lag between menus.

i hav been using this phone for 30days now..i bought it for its long battery life n longer music play back time n looks.n im satisfied with its performance..the phone restarted 5times till now...my biggest problem s if i recieve a new message while typing a message the phone pauses for a second..(wen im typing a msg fast, i get a new msg, n the phone hangs for a second n i loose my flow in typing n i hav to wait for a second n continue typing).is this common in all 5220's? i hav v04.86 firm ware...will updating to v05 resolve this prob..i did not hav this prob in my 5300xm.....and wats the difference in features between v04 n v05 firmware??..reply guys

it does nto support mp4 movies,
and 3gp have bad quality,
So high price cell phoce having such problem,
i am really shocked to spend money on this mp3
