Dont worry. Buy this model - if you like it. Then update to the latest firmware v5.63. I have never had any problems.

Then choose phonemodel and click "240 X 320 Mobile Java Games". Then chose game and click download. The downloaded JAR-file you can drag-and-drop to your phone with help of "Nokia PC Suite". - ... moreI had purchased the same before 4 months, since the i am facing problem with battery. three times I surredered your nokia care bu still I am facing the battery peblems, the battery is automattically empty. My suggestion is no body purchase this handset. Only the brand name of nokia. I had sent complaints with nokia's various office but still i have not get any response.Nokia care service is very poor.

2: Download and install "Nokia Software Updater"
3: Check phone battery-level: Only proceed with at least 75% left.
4: Connect phone + PC with USB-cable
5: Choose "PC Suite" on phone and open "Nokia PC Suite" on your PC.
6: Click the icon "Nokia Content copier" and make a complete backup.
7: Click the icon "Nokia Software Update" and follow further instructions exactly. You may (or may not) have to update the update-software iself first, before proceeding with updating your mobiles firmware.

i had it for a week and it just has too many problems..
- Sometimes it freezes while listening to music.
- sometimes it just turns off automatically and it doesn't want to start till you get the battery out of the phone and put it back in it and than start it up again..
- it feels very cheap
i returned it to exchange with Nokia 5310 XpressMusic which i had for 1 and half year before it died on me too!!!

modifii, 12 Mar 2009I recently updated my 5220 with 5.63 and found that battery... morehow about the sound quality? firmware version 4.00 has the best sound quality imho, the recent firmware kind of messed up the sound quality by a bit

I recently updated my 5220 with 5.63 and found that battery performance is improved. previously it was working for 2 days but now it can work till full 3 days with moderate use. Yahoo IM also able to connect after updating. Good patch this one.
