Can anybody let me know how to remove virus from 5220 xpressmusic, un valid folders are created. every time checking that is becoming a tough task.

Mine is Made in Hungary.
No problems at all.
Mighty little and cheap (€90) phone.
I'm loving it.
It is better than my long lost (stolen!) 5310.

...or let's update to v5.20 together! :-)

Hey, 22 Dec 2008Changing firmware doesnt solve restarting problem!!It solved my problem and my phone was made from China!
My 5220 shipped with firmware 4.00, i had restart problems but i then updated to 4.86 and no more restarts.
Maybe you should call a priest at tell him to exorcise your phone cause that maybe the only way to fix it...

the old 4.00 firmware had restart problems, but starting with version 4.86 the restart problems were 99% solved. i havend even updated the phone to the newer version cause 4.86 is very stable for me. no problems at all.
do you guys remember when the 5310 and 5610 first came out? those phones had worse restart problems not to mention it couldnt even play mp3s without hanging/restarting. it took at least 5 firmware updates before the phones were stable (probably more for the 5610 cause it was buggy as hell.)

to be honest i havent had a problem with it restarting you know,
have ahd it for 2 weeks but not 1 restart,
had a couple of other problems which you guys might have read a few days ago

Before you begin, make a full backup to the memory card and restore it after the update so you won't lose any contacts, stored messages, notes etc:
- menu, settings, sync and backup, create backup -
- menu, settings, sync and backup, restore backup -
Here's some tips for a safe update:
- Download and install latest version of Nokia Software Update in the language of your Windows (never mind the phone language and I think it only works for Windows).
- Restart your computer and close all programs or apps, to reduce the chance of a crash to absolute minimum.
- Before starting the update, charge the battery and you can leave the charger connected as well.
- Make sure the phone is set to the 'General' profile
- Connect the phone with the cable to a usb port on the computer, NOT to a hub, monitor, keyboard etc.
- The phone will ask you to set connection type, set it to PC-Suite.
- Wait till windows "finds" your phone and say your 'new hardware is ready for use'
- Now start the Nokia Software Update program and follow the instructions.
Be patient, it takes some time, don't panic if the phone goes blank and above all, don't disturb the cable till the program says it's ready.
Good luck, I did this now 5 times on 3 different nokias and all went smoothly. Had a little hiccup the first time because my firewall didn't allow the program to connect out, but once I fixed that it was fine. However, I can't be held responsible should anything go wrong ;)

can u please tell me how can i update to 5.20 in detail.i'm an old user of nokia but never updated it myself. so i'm a bit confused.what will happen to my contacts and calender notes?
and one more thing,conuld u mention the significant changes in 5.20 u noticed, pls.thanks once again.
