I suggest you if you r the music lover just u take 5220 its mind blowing performance. No issues on battery & hangups i am using mobile for the last 3 months & so many friends using the mobile more than 12 no one rised these tye of issue.
We cant put over load in any mobile not only in 5220 in all system deff it will restart.
My suggestion to all its a classic mobile very good in battery & sound

Guys i really dont know what should i do now! Everyone say music is amazing but...it hangs up and restarts! I dont wanna phone that restarts all the time...i hate that! Does every phone restarts? Everyone have that problem? Anyone can give me other solution? Wich phone should i buy? Music quality is most important! Thanks

radioactive, 09 Dec 2008FYI, firmware version 5.20 is now available at Nokia. I don... moreThanks.. I have already upgraded to the v.5.20 already just yesterday and I did it myself. It took roughly 2 hours in my case as the entire software's size is 39.3 MB.
And to answer those question with regards to the video department of this phone, well sorry to disappoint you but to tell the truth, you'll surely be unable to watch quality videos on this 5220 because as far as I have tried, it failed to correctly play a QCIF resolution video with a 30 FPS frame rate. It only played the video when I converted it to QCIF 15 FPS. And the video recorder of this phone's camera is even worse as it only records videos at QCIF resolution at around 10 - 12 FPS only.
But definitely not a problem for me as I have the N82 as my primary phone.
And for those having a doubt of this phone's musical merit, well, the sound quality of this phone is simply brilliant (!!). And the volume is really high through the headset that using volume 10 would be impossible, let alone volume 8 as volume 7 is extremely loud already on my Sennheiser headset.

hi! i had my 5220 for almost 2 weeks. but my problem is, it always hangs up and restart.. whenever it hang and turn off, i can't turn it on. i will just take out the battery then put it again to be able to turn it on. what will i do? pls advise me..... battery life is also poor.. thanks! im hoping for your reply...

1. This phone has decent battery, with normal use it can work for 2 days. But with heavy use it cant go beyond 1-1.5 day.
2. Restarting problem is there but with new firmware it is almost resolved. I noticed that whenever you give it load or quickly tell it to do so many things it generally restarts itself. Note that phone is little slow.
3. Audio quality is one of the best. Best doesnt mean loud. Builtin speaker is good for listening songs in a room or two. But with good earphones (NOT bundled) it simply blow your mind. The quality via both way is way ahead than many Walkman phones. Can say it's output sounds like digital.
4. If you are searching for good budget music phone then this is it. I recommend it.

Hi All,
Pls suggest its nokia 5220 exp music is good to buy.In many of the reviews it shows as battery not good,auto restarting,suddenly ear piece not working & hanging.
Pls suggest if any of the mobile user pls reply me a valuable reply

And i dont need 3g at all,dont like symbian,dont like desighn of 5320 so...i will buy 5220 its cool phone! Just one thing...i cant find green one in my town! Sorry for my english!
