Got my 5230 as company-issued work equipment with corporate data plan. My personal phone is a X10 also with data plan.
The nokia is a funny and cheap little phone, but not having wi-fi and being unable to charge by usb are major throw downs.
Not a good phone if you don't have data plan (you can get better deals if you only want a "traditional" not-for-the-internet phone).
A great phone for not so internet-dependent users that enjoy the casual browsing over the news or to use the GPS feature.

Bhargav, 10 Dec 2010Which one is better Nokia C5 or 5230 ?Nokia c5 has some advanteg like camera with LED flash and secondary camera and stereo speakers but you want a cheap touch phone you should go to 5230 has also very good camera then i am all espected.

Now that C6's firmware has been ported to Nokia 5230, this phone is perfect!
For those who don't know what i'm talking about, i'm talking about N97's homescreen on Nokia 5230.

if u get prompt packet data not available tht means first of all u hav 2 contact ur service providerto know is internet is activated on ur number or not if no then First Of All actiavte it by service provider????got it if yes then ask them to send configuration setting on number after that u hav got option of save and discard u hav to select save then there is a option of overite setting select yes after tht select done option ,,,NOW switch off then switch on ur mobile u r able to use internet services on ur number and i would like to tell u if u download opera mini software it will also not worked without configuration settings by ur service providet so plz contact them
