How to use smilies in texting...
...On predictive text, just press the 1 key (to insert symbols) twice or three times to bring up :) :( :') :'( :/ :-) :-( etc.
...When not on predictive texting, just press the * key to bring up a list of different symbols to insert by pressing them, and use different combinations to resemble different emotions.
