the speaker isnt loud, but when you use an goood set of earphone the sound is amazing, better than my sansa music player. it may not be a music phone but it can be a great substitute considering its price.

Secondly, i think your phone is fake or maybe someone paid you to put this negative comment in regards to the 5230. I've owned a 5230 for a little over 7 months and it still works fine. We all know that the loudspeaker is not too loud...big deal...get over it!!!! Stop complaining or buy a new phone. As for the music quality, it is great. Every who bought a "real" 5230 knows that the earphones that come in the package suck.Once you purchase your own earphones, the music quality is great. I think the camera quality is good since it is just a 2 mega-pixel camera. I own a 12 mega-pixel Nikon CoolPix so it doesn't bother me at all. If you want a better camera then buy another phone or better yet buy an actual digital camera.I am so sick of you people who trying so hard to make the 5230,and in long run, Nokia,look bad. This phone is great considering the price. Other phones in this price range might look better and be easier to use but overall the 5230 wins. If you don't like my opinions then too bad. Nothing's perfect.

ppl...plz dont buy this phone...i brought nd sufferin nw...i brought 4 8k...nw if i wana sell no1 s buyin even 4 4k...b4 buyin i had read in da net dat this fone has probs...bt da retailer convinced dat da fone s a new modelm and sold t 2 me...da dy i brought dis fone da display ws nt proper so i wen nd gt da fone replaced da vry nxt dy...nd dey gave me a new packd fone...m sufferin even frm dat fone...i hav visited varios nokia service centers mre dan 15 tyms bt no1 cld fix t...da fone goes off nw nd den...hav had prob wid da display 2 tyms...da music quality sux...1c da speaker gt spoilt had gt t replaced...nw m feelin dat i've simply wasted 8k...so i plz suggest evry1 nt 2 buy this phone...
