hi guys just wanted to put my two cents in on the phone and its features.
Look:
I give the look a 6/10 nothing two eye catching about the phone, i have yet to see a black one offered from T-Mobil. it is a little thicker than i had expected, the Samsung Instinct has similar stock features yet slightly thinner.
Features: The Features are almost limitless thanks to the Nokia OVIstore, the UI look is endless due to the Symbian OS Theme Developers out there.
UI: The UI (User Interface) can be frustrating at times, you have to go through path after path to get to what you are looking for at times, it is definably not self explanatory for new users.
I am a little disappointed with the home screen, you are only allotted 4 shortcut icons for apps and other things at the top of the screen under the clock and indicators, leaving about a whole square inch of unused space on your HS. i would have loved to see a more user friendly UI similar to either iPhone or other smart phones that have all their options and shortcuts right on the HS.
Performance: i would give the performance an 8/10 it has great multi-tasking capabilities, although if your not careful you might leave multiple windows open without knowing it bogging down your hand held.
over all i will give the phone a 7.5/10

Got this phone unlocked for £100. It's fantastic value for money, you get all the following:
1) Free sat nav
2) Nokia mail
3) Decent battery life
4) Sturdy design
5) Usual Nokia software (media player, etc)
Ok the camera isn't great and there's no flash. The lack of wifi isn't a big issue for me, always found nokia's wifi to be a bit dodgy.
Not the most stylish phone or most feature filled phone, but very good value for money. Got this as a back up to my iphone 3GS with iOS4 - the best phone I've owned, but when it comes to value for money the nokia wins.

hey guys... can u say how to see the operator/sim current offers on the home screen of 5230... as it is shown on s40 mobiles... i have an uninor sim... so i want to see the instant discounts on the home screen.... pls reply as soon as possible

This phone is a good phone, i recomend each & every to use it! If u 're in African n u need any settings on this phone or internet setting which is 4times faster than the one u use before contact: { loving_man68@yahoo.com}

GREAT phone...3.2" touchscreen,good battery life,ovi store n other applications
touch screen and motion sensor games,nice looks,good internet browsing speed,but u have 2 know how to use ur phone well,,,,,,,after buying this phone i had a prob..my phone was restarting frequently,but after several hard resets..now its working properly..
if u wanna install applications games u can hack ur phone n go to mobile9 n install as many apps n games u want..n one thing u should free ur internal memory n install everything on crd..buy a card reader to transfer data 4m your pc.,

this phone doesn't have WLAN / wifi access... i will not buy this phone.. my N86 8MP is better than this even if it's not a touchscreen..

i m using 5230 4rom last 6months i like it so much bcz it gd bcz of its features like nokia maps,adobe flash lite,realplayer,3"inches touch screen,with 3g .we can also see tv on it .i like it sooooooooooo much.it is best than nokia 5233 that is come after this in market.

My friend got one for his birthday. Alright phone, but NO stereo speakers like the 5800, no wifi, comes in purple... Good entry level Nokia Touchscreen, but most people wouldn't be satisfied
