walkman, 27 May 2010how could you say you got fast internet on 5233 while its o... moreHa ha... This again proves how ignorant you are... I get 30kBps download speeds with my 5233 on EDGE. And tell me how often do you use 3G with limited range and razor blade like data tariffs, i'd rather stck to my always dependable EDGE. And in addition, unlike some of you who just use 3G for show off's, i do have a broadband at my home for serious internet usage. Just lik most of us here, even if the phone supports 3G, nobody here uses 3G as their main means to get connected the main reason being unreasonable data charges. But for browsing websites on the phone and for downloading small files, you don't necessarily need 3G. EDGE will do the purpose n addition, you get double the standby time. You think that i bought 5233 because i couldn't afford 5800. Well unlike some show off's like you, i just wanted a smart phone that suits me and not carry around something that i am never gonna use much. For my purpose, 5233 does everything i require of a phone and also provides some quality entertainment on the go. And 3G is not a reliable form of connectivity. In places with limited connectivity, you still have to depend on the good old EDGE. And that makes us even.
Like it or not, what i am stating are the facts. Let me just ask you how many people who owns a 3G phone does actually use it? The n70 was also a 3G phone but i know not know anyone that has done video call using 3G on an N70.

nok31, 27 May 2010which headset is best for 5230?you can use any headphones with 3.5 jack with it in our country there are headphones costing even a buck to headphones like bose,so i suggest make a budget first get the best from that money if money is not a problem go for bose

This is the nothing but the 5800 or X6 for the people on budget because the differences is very less and almost negligible for the people who just want a touch phone with essential uses like music internet media player etc and its also a symbian with same os ram and processor as the x6 and 5800

5233 itz an awesum fon ... i am kinda in luv wth it ...
awesum touch screen , good photo quality, fast internet,symbian os nd like other 5000 series it does nt get hanged either..
ppl who r planning to buy it .. can surely go for it ,it is worth buying :) :)

naresh mumbai, 27 May 2010i am planning to buy this in next 20 days. i am not sure ab... moreno need to worry, there are lot of games available for this phone [download here at mobile9.com]. it supports motion sensor [some settings have to be set to an application if it did not work full screen]
here's how, go to settings>application manager>installed apps> highlight the app>tap options> choose suite settings>set on screen keyboard to OFF! i hope this one will help you

actually i'm craving for n5800 but i got n5233 instead, but im still quite satisfied with this phone. considering this is a S60 5th edition touch phone,its price is affordable and the features are awesome.. very responsive touch screen.the user interface is indeed intuitive, it's like from nokia's older non-touch symbian phones. the only downside and i hate to think much about this phone is that its sound volume when using the headphone is not as loud as my n7210 supernova, though the loudspeaker's sound quality is very okay. i love music, so superb sound quality is what im looking for on a phone. i installed opera mini 5 final build and set proxy settings for OM5, voila! internet on the go!
i have this little regeret after buying n5233 and after reading the specs of n5230 that i should have bought n5230 instead. with a little price difference i could have had a 3g and gps feature on my phone.

[deleted post]Then just give me a reason not to.... Your 5800 is still priced at 14k and the 5230 is priced at 7.5k. So that's a difference of 6.5k. For 6.5k, you can get a 5233. All have similar basic features. And for your info, 5233 had all the basic features like kinetic scrolling out of the box while you had to wait almost a year and two updates to get that. So 5230 and 5233 is indeed an improved variant of the 5800 though lacking in some features. 5800 is the first symbian touchscreen flagship of nokia and it has its shortcomings. Just think of your 5800 as a premium guinea pig which nokia used to improve upon the touch UI. All the improvements have later been ported directly to the subsequent devices that followed. My 5233 with its smoky grey metallic finish doesn't look cheap at all.. You paid a fortune to get your 5800 and a few months later nokia comes up with two damn cheap devices with almost similar specs. Yes i can understand your frusturation. Even i felt a bit envious when nokia suddenly dropped the prices of 5233 again to 6.4k. I paid 7.4k for it two months back. That doesn't make it a cheap phone. Yes it is cheap when it comes to price but when it comes to features it is as rich as the 5800.

i am planning to buy this in next 20 days. i am not sure about only one thing, as all those games which can only be played by specific key based phone, how i will play those in a touch phone.
plz reply its important as am gamer and software user i am sure about software but not for games.
