i am using 5230....and i use orkut....and it is working great......and if u want to use chat direct from mobile....download ebuddy from ovi store....it is working fine on my phone.....

Antiviruses will slow down, even heavily, your handset. You don't really need them.
Anyway, you may go for F-Secure Mobile and QuickOffice + Adobe PDF Reader LE for documents.
Note that none of them is free.

Average battery life is about 1 and a half/2 days.
Yours is not defective, it's just that smartphones will drain battery faster...

Not happy with this set, same old styled menus, music quality is very poor, sometimes gets hang..but v rarely.. but its picture and video quality is quite good.
