Curious, 28 Feb 2010How is the camera ? Is it clear Camera of 5230 performs well keeping 2mp in mind.you get good array of customizations and video recording at 30 fps is awesome.it lacks flash so even night mode will not help much in dark

SR, 28 Feb 2010Omnias are smart, Emir. http://www.gsmarena.com/results.php... moregprs cannot replace gps but to use gps without inbuilt gps antenna you have to download google maps and other services which need data plan.and samsung phones like corby and star have os which is based on java programming and support only java apps.there is no procedure for upgrading this os and samsung never releases any updates or updater software.nokia nonsmart phones have symbian 40 os and they releases updates time to time and have the updater program for tge same.

Rajesh, 28 Feb 2010I wanted to buy 5233.but confused.never i used such touchsc... moreTouchscreen phones really catch attention.everyone should try them and specially when you can get full touch smartphone at 7000inr.when compared to non touch phones the touch ui is more intuitive.as far as 5233 is concerned it is s60v5 smartphone you get lots of fun filled and useful applications on nokia ovi.web browser is good but using opera mini5 or opera10 you get ultra high speed net on the go. Sound output of this phone is low the reason behind not been tagged with xpressmusic.in headphones it is good. You can use external speakers to increase sound output.I WOULD SUGGEST YOU TO GO FOR THIS IF 3G AND GPS ARE NOT IMPORTANT FOR YOU AND OTHERWISE 5230.BUY GET ONE OF THE TWO NOW

All of them, including the first one ( http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i900_omnia-2422.php ). Omnia HD has Symbian S60 (same as Nokia 5230) and rest have Windows Mobile.

I have a question for Tech Guru. You have replied to a query for GPS as "To use gps in 5233 in you need active gprs connection as it doesnt have integrated gps chip.i suggest you to have unlimited gprs plan". Can you explain how can GPRS replace GPS?
And you also have called non smart phones as having non smart "JAVA OS". What is that? Could you explain?
One more thing, non smart phones can be upgraded if the manufacturer releases a new firmware for the handset. The point being - IF the manufacturer releases a new firmware.

I wanted to buy 5233.but confused.never i used such touchscreen.is it better than non-touchscreen while using for quick contact.how is it net & music compare to other.plz anybody help.

Elliot Cartlidge, 28 Feb 2010has this phone got a pen with it It depends. I guess its regi0nal. S0me do get stylus pen with the battery cover, s0me d0nt.
In my case, here in philippines, pen stylus is included in the b0x. Ü

I really want this phone! Great audio quality through headphones as per GSMA's review, gps, 3G, high res lcd, 2meg camera*, Nokia Maps (fantastic), excellent price. The only thing which holds me back is the poor visibility in outdoor light (I want to use it with java third party gps navigation software). That's better I needed to get that off my chest, huff!!
*As many people have said, phone cameras are going to be poor relative to digital cameras, the lenses our just too tiny(poor aperture/light omission). No doubt with R&D (evolution) circuits will be compressed so a better lens can be incorporate at some point in the future. Until then if I see a good shot, I will want my Digital camera on me.
I expect I will end up getting it and just have to put up with myself moaning outside :-)bloody reflective touch screens)

Brandon, 28 Feb 2010So you have this phone 5230 already? 1.Does the GPS work... moreYes i do have nokia 5230! 1. dont know,i dont use gps becouse there are no maps for my country but it should work well and its free now! so yay! 2. it have handwriting recognition but i dont use it,i didnt got stylus in my phone and with finger it doesnt work well! its not so easy to write! 3. no widgets! 4. internet is great! its very fast and very easy to use! download speed is amazong! 5. for me everything is great! i would say buy this phone u will not regret!!
