First time ever I m too confused to buy any phone like this bec some says it has inbuilt Gps but some says it doesnt even both r owners of this phone Nokia 5233. I dont know whom to believe whom to not but sure these comments doesnt help me at all. So confusing and then damn Nokia Dealers, they r Nokia Dealers but all has different prices even in same city. If I pay extra then people says "Ohh u got cheated", if I pay less then people says "ohh ur phone is duplicate". Damn, I dont understand this iffffff people have Nokia 5233 then how the hell some has A-Gps and some doesnt ? And yes, nokia is really cheating. It was known for quality and trust. Now, not anymore.

In cities due to the presence of large buildings and other large objects the GPS signal gets reflected off these buildings and other obstructions distorting and attenuating the signal. So the GPS receiver takes a lot of time to make a lock. Thats where A-GPS or Assisted GPS comes in. In AGPS your phone retrieves location info through a GPRS network and makes an approximate guess of your position. Thus the start up time of AGPS is greatly reduced.
So the bottom line is for AGPS GPRS network is not mandatory but it helps if you have one if you already have the maps downloaded on your phone. But if you use google maps GPRS becomes necessary since Google Maps downloads the maps from google servers through GPRS on the go and google maps also does not require any GPS antenna. It acquires all location info through cell phone tower triangulation.

Nokia is now really cheating.they r tellin dat 5233 has gps but believe me i m using dis stuf for 1 month no gps worst audio quality. Hangs al d time. My friend is using 5230 same problems both r very worst. Camera is useless. Sometimes the touchscreen doesn.t respond. Dont go for both 5230 and 5233 u wil repent.

Thanks everyone for solving all queries regading 5230..
It seems the only problem of 5230 is "below par speaker volume"
but..
can anybody tell something about the design of phone..does it looks cheap??or bulky??
