we can already see this phone in Bangladeshi Market. Price 15500 Taka. Beautiful and full of features.

When Nokia 5230 was launched in India, it was announced to be available in INR 10,000/-.

5230 costs 200 USD in Cambodia now and it even comes with 2GB of memory card.

By the way, just for information GPS is not a 3G service. Its an inbuilt antenna that is network independent i.e. it doesn't require 3G or 2G or even the network on which we make phone calls. It is built into you phone and for it to work it requires only battery.

I have a hands-on review with this smartphone:).
It is considered as the Best value for money touchsreen smartphone ever released. Why? For its price, its embedded with most of the gadgets and features in Nokia 5800, but in order to keep the price low to meet the mid range requirements, some important features have been taken out (eg: only 2.0mp camera, without LED / flash for camera, no wi-fi, normal MONO speaker audio quality - so it's really soft through the loudspeakers, etc). Nonetheless, it is a smartphone to suit your needs depending on your preferences:)
I'll break it down into points -
Pros:
It has 16.7 Million Colors (so the color is really good in terms of quality and resolution, very clear)
Memory card expandable up to 16GB (comes with 70mb)
Big touchscreen display (111x51.7x14.5 mm)
Very responsive sensor
It has kinetic scrolling which 5800 doesn't have (eg: at the contacts, just scroll upwards to move the contacts list, the kinetic scrolling will scroll as directed by loading the next listing of 5-6 contacts, which in this case it's easier to scroll)
It comes with 3G services (eg: GPS, Internet connectivity)
Has qwerty, T9 touch screen keyboards, comes with Handwriting Language
Yes, it comes with a stylus
Depending on packages, some includes the 4 different back covers colors (blue, yellow, white, pink)
Can switch to portrait or landscape view when you turn the phone vertically or horizontally
Slimmer than 5800 by 1mm
30 fps QVGA video (which is a pretty good video quality - same as 5800)
33 hrs of music playback time (music sounds good through the provided normal earphones)
Cons:
Doesn't belong to XpressMusic Series (so it's not really for music lovers who like to blast their music, because this is not a stereo speakers like 5800, but a mono speaker so it's very soft even when volume is turned on to the max)
heavier than 5800 by 6g
no LED /flash for camera
only a 2.0mp camera (but pretty good picture quality with its 16m colors, considering it has such a low MP)
no Wi-Fi (meaning you cannot access Internet Service Provider for Free)
Heavier than 5800 by 6g
It comes with 3G services, but you CAN'T video call
Overall, if you're not a heavy internet user, not a fussy music lover, not a fussy picture taking person, but are looking for an affordable touchscreen smartphone, this one does it all.
However, if you're looking for good quality pictures with high MP, good audio quality to blast your music away, and of course Wi-Fi (what's a smartphone without Wi-Fi right;)?), this phone will definitely disappoint you and you might have to look elsewhere.
It's launch of 4th quarter is already out in most countries in Nov and Dec 2009. It will be out in the rest of other countries in Jan 2010.
