There is a lot of confusion about touch screen phones that are cheaply available. If you simply want a cheap touch screen phone go for Corby or other Samsung/LG touch phones.
5230 is a full fledged smartphones whose price has been brought down by removing certain hardwre components.
But it still has some : GPS, HSDPA (3G).
What Corby gives you is cheap price tag to boast, but at the cost of screen resolution and size, GPS, 3G.
These are available with 5230.
Sure Corby has capacitive screen, but seriously it is for phone handling /control /navigation purpose only.
Real multimedia performance and long term software availability are the pluses of 5230.
And if you are keen on WiFi pay some more (4 grands) and go for 5800 Xpressmusic.

The Nokia 5230XM is now available in the Philippines for about PhP10,990 SRP.

I have read the manual and regret to say that this phone does not have stereo speakers like its brothers
5800 or 5530!

This phone rocks, I am going to buy this phone within two months because of its Expandable 16GB memory, Touch screen, 3g, and Cheap cost (10000rs), This combination is very rare. I dont care about wifi and 2mp camera. I presently use 7210 supernova.

first of all do u really know wat hd video recording is???????
for ur kind information NO nokia phone has hd video recording feature. n this phone too support jus vga video recording(much infirior to 720p) that is 640*480 resolution and not hd(720p) that support 1280*720 resolution.
so its jus vga and not hd.
