Let's remember that this phone is targeted to another type of audience. 5530 was targeted for another and so is the 5800. even if its not xpressmusic i really dont see any difference between one that is and one that is not. both will play mp3s either way and the music player handles the same for both. the specs on this phone is worth it considering the estimated price. you cant have 'em all.

I dont know why nokia following samsung trends of going from high to low, its an okay entry but with 5800 falling all the time, that the first choice and with 5530 a clean winner over the design 2nd one, nokia needs to produce a sleek version of 5800 with a better cam and all its properties still symbian is no where as good as apples touch.. people wanting a 10000 phone should think technology needs money ...by the way how often touch phone breakdown is another issue... I will stay with conventional E52

Nokia 5230 would not be a phone that would prove to be a milestone for nokia.Phones like LG COOKIE and Samsung star are cheaper than Nokia 5230,but have great features like 3.2 MEGAPIXEL camera with Autofocus,smileshot.Secondly nokia touch interface is very irritating on the other hand Samsung touch interface with WIDGETS is one of the best.so i think nokia should try for another phone,as this would be useless

Anonymous, 25 Aug 2009waste of money. not even xpress music? no wifi, no secondar... moreyes but if you buy 5530 you don't have GPS and 3G, what's more you have to pay some 50euro more,
it's a good step from Nokia, I think they noticed the importance of low-budget mobiles on the market & are doing what is needed to conquer it ...:)

waste of money. not even xpress music? no wifi, no secondary camera, only 2MP camera. better buy 5530 at least u have wifi, 3.2 MP cam and xpress music just add a few pounds..

It has the price of a Nokia 3310 and better specs than original iphone. Great battery and a good selection of colors. It's going to be huge!

what i like about this phone is that it has the same home screen as the 5530 , and the screen, battery is like the 5800 , but poor nokia take a look at the back cover it sucks big time it would be nice if it has the same cover as the one in 5800 , and also 2mp camera us fine , the 5800 is not much of a shooter either, but please nokia add some flash on it dualLED maybe.
WISH-LIST
Nokia needs to add :
1. Back cover same as the ones found on the nokia 5800xm.
2. Add some Dual LED flash.
If nokia will add that on the final product that would be nice and many would like that.

But samsung star has 256k Colours and also have poor interface.This is a nice set but WiFi is missing.

I think nokia is doing a forward but yet step way back in time, why are the phones so thick and huge, well big then if you must ? :-) everytime it looks nice then you see the depth, urgghhh.
