15 minutes before accidently i droped my 5230 from around 2 meter height .
And surprisingly no damage at any part.
Thanks nokia for good tough touchscreen smartphone at very reasonable price.

AnonD-20504, 03 Sep 2011i use this phone just only for 2 months...i cant find where... morego to settings-connectivity-network-network mode.change from GSM to UMTS or DUAL mode.the handset will now function in 3g mode:)))

It is good in browsing but after downloading any soft ware it is operating very slowly..

i am used this phone nokia 5230 for last 4months
it have very good picture quality,but its only fault is its sound.

tony, 04 Sep 2011is there a possible for 5230 to stall a wifi conection.Wi-fi is a hardware.so it could not get instrinsic.but 5230 comes with 3G compatibility to fix your error.

Nokia 5230 is a very good mobile with a price Tag of Rs 7400 approx.The os is nicely supported.Games and applications runs very well.The camera quality is the best feature of this phone,its way better than other mobiles of same range..
The only problem is its sound which is very low and poor quality..Otherwise if you look over all its a very nice phone.Trust me..I am using it for the past one year.

it shows it charging but is not.the battery gets dead and the phone goes off.but when i use universal charger it gets full.

The fastest way to go into 3g mode is to clik the free space next to the batterylifesymbol. Then press the arrows. Then go to the connections and switch the gsm into a dual/two way connection. When the 3g is on you will have a 3g symbol under the connectionbars. Then just go surfing the net.

Go to the settings and select connectivity go to network mode and select utms.this is 3g ok

i bought this phone and i love it but the sounds is poor... thats all its cheep coz its 3g... but if you have enough budget just go to c5-03...
