Guys, it's a great handset with everything best, be it cam, or screen, or touch or sound(although speaker volume is not loud, but decent enough, and clear). Iam using the phone for nearly 1 year and till now Iam not bored with my phone; rather my respect for this set is increasingly growing.
Such a great handset it is.
But what really pains me is how some people are posting negitive comments about it. I feel either they've never used the handset or wantedly posting such negitive comments.
There is no hanging problem if you know how to use it properly. Even computers hang if you overload it. Even some apps. Which are not comptable or consume more ram cause your phone to hang. You can't blame the phone for that.
Also regarding battery- for new users: initally it gives less output, but as you continue to use it, its output will increase. Please recharge it only after it shows 'battery low'. And recharge it completely till its 100% and don't forget to recharge in switchedoff mode only.
Also indoors, keep the brightness to 2-3 points which would be enough. Try to keep the brightness as low as possible.
Please use responsibly. It will give you many times more than what you expect from this fabulous set.

I'm a user of Nokia 5233 handset for Last one year & I'm quiet statisfy with all the feaures,and it is very easy to use...such very good Handset.

It is very Nice set , camera & video clarity is awasome but only in light. Big screen view is very nice to see movies . application support is also good. at last we can say its price matches with its specifications

The new software version is V.50.1.001 and the software version date is 28-04-2011. So just dial *#0000# from the dialler and check your version. If outdated, rush to your nearest NOKIA CARE and get it updated. A completely new interface and better touch experience is available in the new software update.

there is no hanging problem in it. it all depends how you use it. its like computer if too many programs are opened on computer it hangs.so its not the fault of computer rather it is of user who is unable to use computer properly. same is the case with 5233. i usually listen music along with reading books or surfing internet. phone never hangs during this.

@Joy. its very easy dude. i use it wit out any prob. i downloaded it from ovi stores. and den u jus hav 2 create your Nimbuzz id. den after tat u can login to the other ones like Fb, yahoo, Gmail. etc

I am using this mobile frm last year and i going to tell u the pros and cons of this mobile : First of all the main heighlight of this phone is screen its touch 3.2 with 16 million colours which is good for viewing photos and videos .
Second best feature is its camera its awesome 2 mp. Video recording is awesome.
Third is its application and theme support . You can download thousands of usefull app and themes from ovi which is preinstalled.
Battery is decent . Music is good bt use third party headset. now sm dissapointment its very bulky in size so cnt say gud luking only decent and ya its hangs a lot atleast for me . music frm speaker should b more loud. Dnt hav 3g and wifi bt due to its price u cnt expect all this. Any ways its gud to bye at this price. IF u dnt want ur phone to get hang and expecting a gud music phone dnt go for this. You hav better option than this.

i use it for daily 70~80 sms and 1 hour of call and battery last for 1 and half day. on weekends i use internet and for complete charging it takes 6~8 hours for discharge. so battery is ok.
