The bad edge network, no static ip nor stable speed results in all this, I will look in to this matter if there is any available that can substitute watching youtube movies, till then enjoy it on the web browser. :)

Just select the normal option while playing youtube video through real player. What happens is that the HQ option makes the sound quality better by increasing the audio bitrate in the streaming data, while keeping the video bitrate the same as the normal settings. So the overall bitrate of the whole streaming video is increased in the HQ option. And since gprs provides a limited bandwidth to the user and the network provider making it more worse, the consumers get a very slow speed. Usually this handset can download files at speeds upto 40 KB per second. But we get a mere 10, or less in your case. I get 15 average with vodafone. And while watching youtube video in real player, one needs a minimum of 8KB/S speed for normal settings and maybe a 12 for HQ settings. So when you are watching a video and the speed suddenly goes down this recommended speed, the video breaks and the screen gets pixeleted or whatever you call it. So unless you get the above speeds from your network provider, you better not watch youtube video in real player. And since real player doesn't keep the already downloaded video data in memory cache, like flash player, you can't even keep it paused hoping that the video is loading. This is a real letdown of real player.

AnonD-1647, 13 Jun 2011Well, That seems the problem, which firmware version are yo... moreYeah bro I have those things again and again but it still seems to be there! my UDP values are exactly the same you mentioned in your post!! is there anyway that it can b fixd since these days my network coverage is bad and so edge speed is very slow so this would make watching flash videos stunningly painful!! can it be fixed with any modded firmware at present I M having the latest firmware to date i.e v40.1.003..sorry if am annoying you bro!! thank you!!

If you think its a codec problem have it upgraded to v40, if not and your already in v40, just check the real player setting in Settings>Phone>Application Settings>Realplayer>Streaming and see if the values are set default or lowest UDP port=6970 and highest UDP=32000 and keep the online time to unlimited, and see that your access point is also defined, im sure you know all this, but just in case.I haven't really encountered a problem like this so i will check and let you know.

AnonD-1647, 12 Jun 2011Well, the thing is your playing youtube videos made for mob... moreThank you Shane!! but it seems like you got it a bit wrong ..when(only) I stream HQ videos Youtube videos via realplayer the video looks distorted i.e it has an annoying tearing effect it doesn't look pixelated but it has bad/torn colors I dont know how to put this all in a more precise manner than this! But I hope you've got it now...nokia 5800 has got it fixed in the latest update but 5233 hasn't yet!! It seems to me more of a codec problem rather than quality ..as except for the sound the video looks as good as when it is played in flasn!!! thanks you for ur time body!!

deepak, 12 Jun 2011why u think thats its money wastage....???? plz suggest me... moreI bought this phone 6 months ago and its workin fine but sometimes its very slow and it has the worst speaker quality and the headphones given with are not nice u can even hear others murmering when u are listening in it but its audio quality is nice when connected with bluetooth or something else.......so i mostly recommend u not to buy this phone.....buy Nokia 5230 it looks like the ditto of 5233 but it has no problems

hi sujan BRO!, 12 Jun 2011sujan, I have got this one phone but it plays youtube video... moreWell, the thing is your playing youtube videos made for mobile via realplayer, dont do that, that will result in smaller and bad quality videos, only advantage is you'll get to see the video faster but at a a sucky quality,my advice.use the default browser and navigate to youtube, and use flash based video, it will load like in the html or pc format, only that it will take time as wwe are on gprs edge network not wifi or 3g.cheers:)

sujan, I have got this one phone but it plays youtube videos(only HQ) all distorted in real player!! this problem is what used to b in nokia 5800 and then launched n97 but now its seems every s60v5 has it! so please provide me suggestions to solve I have latest firmware v40.1.003.
