AnonD-295, 24 Feb 2011Messages: Your SMSs and mails from Symbian's built-in mess... moreSuperb informations dude. Just a question. Have you tried restoring your mentioned stuffs in a C6 based cfw? Cause its always better to restore using the backup option but since C6 firmwares can't restore backed up contents (done in a OFW based CFW), hence i asked.
Btw, what name do you use in dailymobile?

        Messages:
Your SMSs and mails from Symbian's built-in messaging application are stored in C:\Private\1000484b. If you've told your phone to store messages on your memory card, they are in E:\Private\1000484b. Copy the entire folder, and restore when needed.

        T9 dictionary:
Your frequently used words in SMS and email are stored in C:\Predic\101F8615_F.dat. You don't even need to hack your phone to get into this folder

        Calendar:
Calendar entries are stored in C:\Private\10003a5b\Calendar.

Your access points are stored in C:\Private\10202be9\persists\cccccc00.cre. Just make a copy of cccccc00.cre, and restore it to your phone (or send it to another phone), restart your phone, and you have your access point settings back just the way they were when you made the backup.

        WARNING :
This tips here is only for hacked phone.
Please use this guide only for learning.
i do not take any responsibility for damage caused if you modify these files/folders. Please make sure u know exactly what u are doing

khim, 23 Feb 2011why does the internet connection in this phone is so hardd!!..Internet connection in 5233 isn't hard at all. In fact its easier than s40 phones. Reason is that, we don't have to download or manually set any access points. If the service provider has kept the internet 'gate' for you number open then the phone automatically detects the settings necessary to get hold of that frequency.
After flashing my phone, i don't backup any settings. Still the phone manages to connect to internet. I use vodafone, btw.

Hi friends did you know that you can actually backup all the words you've added to your phone's dictionary and restore them later instead of restoring via file manager.
It is very simple. All you have to do is copy the folder named Predic from phone memory to anywhere you want. This folder contains a file named 101F8615_F.dat. This is the actual dictionary file. To restore, simply copy the folder or file and replace it with the original one. This method can also be used to copy dictionary from one phone to another.

Hi firends.. I just downloaded the latest version of N-desk 2.5 ovi pro edition. Found it on mobile9. Once again N-desk has proved itself to be better than any other menu app. The latest is free without the annoying pop-up. It also comes with other goodies like preset skins, more customisation options and the neatest feature I think is the slide unlock screen where the proximity sensor can be used to enable auto screen locking. Just give it a try and post your views.
