Browser crash ,no line out ,reduced battery life etc will be a problem in c6 port irrespective of the original phone version,i think.
I am not that much of a gamer but will try ngage today to see how it goes.

I use default browser only for downloads (downloaded unleased tribute through default browser this morning, 62Mb file, speed was a constant 15-16KB/s).
Since c6 has rotation effect, so did it work with ndesk (orientation rotation i.e).
Why didn't you try Tribute based on v40. At least that way we could have known if the problems persisted (browser crash n all).

AnonD-542, 10 Feb 2011Here it is, guys. The link that gives the complete tutorial... morewell, i came back to original firmware from unleashed tribute. Unleashed definitely has some good points . Theme effects works in it like a charm. But i hate browser crashes . I flashed with all original files. Then tried to update over the air. But it displayed 'update not compatible with your phone. 'Then i downloaded new updated v40files from btusers.com.ar/nan/nokia/
and then flashed with it.
Since good custome firmwares are not available based on original v40,i included installserver. exe in my rofs2 . Worked !Hack!
But those theme effects in c6 are not working in original fw .
With new firmware update ,(40.1.003)browser is improved. Gallery shows the option 'show/hide lyrics '. I dont know how to make the lyrics work. In profiles there is an option to 'make new '.So overall a good update.
For heavy usage i think it is better to stick to original than c6.Using apps like Ndesk adds to the beauty. But i miss those cool transition effects though.

Here it is, guys. The link that gives the complete tutorial to installing ngage on 523x phones. It has all the links too. The ngage installer is different from that of 5800 which is usually found all over the net. But a hacked phone is a must. I still haven't played any game yet as i will flash with Unleased Tribute today, then i will see. Till then, you guys check it out (those with cfw). As for games, try searching mobile9 in s60v3 section.

I am using 5233 from 6 months awesome phone i really like it...Good battery..wanted to know how to set up password for phone lock as it shows password already set have not set the password in the past however can anybody help how to do it cause when i try it gives me code error....

I suggest that you should buy nokia c5 03 it realy good all features of 5800 available and slim set nice look wifi 3g in 9500,

arpita, 09 Feb 2011guys,suppose if I go some of congested or noisy places like... morethe handset speaker volume of 5233 is perfect. you can listen easily in a market also. but i think it depends on the decibel meter range of that place. and hey, you can turn on the loudspeaker if you can compromise with your privacy. it won't be a disaster. how can i say? i am using it for one damn year.

guys,suppose if I go some of congested or noisy places like railstation and that time I talk to somebody in 5233, then it's possible that I can hear properly(loud & clear sound) what he can saying or it's a diseaster like nokia 1662?
