Actually i was browsing through various folders in z drive with x plore app .then found that effects folder . Opened png files in it such as app loader . Thus i guessed that this is the same effect the phone shows when we load an app. then tried to modify it but it was not possible. Checked the attributes of that file but could not change the read only status. Thus i asked the question that why cant we change the attributes of the files in z path. Actually i was not aware that the path is rom. Anyways your answer made me happy that it is possible with some patches. But i guess we cannot simply apply it to rom files right?and now it is clear that why these guys are interested in hacking. Going to buy a second hand pc (myself a student not much pocket money . lol)and will try to learn flash . Thanks for the reply

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2011why cannot we change the attributes of files in z: path?Its simple. Z drive is the ROM drive. And ROM is the abbreviation for 'Read only memory'. So, all you can do is copy files from it but not paste or edit any files. And since changing attribute of a file means trying to edit it, hence this option isn't available.
This read only feature of the ROM is the thing that keeps the mobile from going haywire.
