some interesting info for all you guys who are thinking of buying this phone but are not sure & also those corby-fans.....
I-PHONE
Apparently the best smartphone I-Phone even DOES have imperfections.
You can't transfer files via bluetooth.
You can't share contacts as business cards.
You have to pay a lumpsum amount if you damage or loose the propeiretory 9-pin charger. it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a duplicate & it does not charge of any other charger.

Samsung has many problems.
Almost no application is supported by low-end samsung phones(till corby).
Battery back-up is pathetic compared to nokia.
Processor is laggy compared to nokia.
So, i am not advertising for nokia. but what you get from nokia by paying only 6000 rupees in the name of 5233 is IMPOSSIBLE to get anywhere.
And 3g lovers/5800 lovers here is a bad news. Govt of india has ordered all operators except Bsnl/Mtnl to postpone 3g services till interception becomes possible.
But if you are a music enthusiast & also want to use 3g from the first day its launched then go for 5800, if you can shell out 11000 rupees.
ALL IN ALL 5233 IS THE BEST CHOICE

mana, 19 Dec 2010skyfire will not work in india . flv videos can be played ... moreAs the skyfire's website claims it has stopped in many countries just to decrease their server load (which is much more in their own country alone!).but they didnt say they will not make it working again for india n others.they r expanding their servers. Hv a nyc day.

Always choose a profile with low display brightness and low battery time out when you use the phone indoors or in dark places. Choose a higher brightness level to improve sunlight visibility when outside.
Set the backlight timeout to 10 seconds and brightness to 25% for normal usage. Always practice the habit of locking the screen as soon as you are finished using the phone and don't wait for the backlight to go out or the screen to lock automatically.
Good practices like these can significantly improve battery backup. My battery is still strong even after 6months of hard abuse and I easily get 2 days of moderate usage on a single charge.
You can also use the Battery monitor app to check your daily phone usage and the energy consumption.

it is better to keep the charger plugged in during any heavy download or when not in use. overcharging is not possible anyways.

Alexy, 18 Dec 20101) i'd like to know whether the touch screen is visible eno... moreit is true that lcd screens have poor sunlight legibility.but if you set nearly full display brightness,it can be solved to some extent.anyways most people dont like to use mobile under direct sunlight.so it is not an issue.
sorry to say that you made a childish statement that touchscreens are for girls . world's no1 smart phone -apple i phone -uses touch screen. Is it meant for girls ?if it is true, majority of the smart phone users are girls .. . ha ha ha .
touch screens are more easy to use. They are durable. my brother uses 5800 for more than two years . no problems with touch so far.
This phone can use memory card up to 16 gb.never compare this phone with older nokia phones. Here the scene is entirely different. i use a 8gb card. no problems so far.
you can surely in for it if the specifications meets your requirements.

1) i'd like to know whether the touch screen is visible enough in broad day light (because i dont find many using touch phones these days at least in my place) and,
2) is it true that touch screen phones are mainly for girls?? (as it cannot be roughly used and since it needs to be given extra care)
3) does using memory cards of 4gb and above reduce the speed of the phone in anyway whatsoever?

I was just very confused whether to change to a touch phone or qwerty phone and i found C3 and 5233 quite economical to me..thats why such a comparison.
