what does C6 beta cfw can do to 5233??? Is there anyone knows on how to have chat application on your phone while browsing Facebook???is there really application like that??? hehehe....i'm just curious...

I haven't tried C6 firmware as I am sti... moreWell amte apart from the one you've stated I don't see any advantage either. All you'll get is a bug ridden beta version of the port. So you can't complain either if something does go wrong. Yes having widget HS like Nokia97 is kind of eyecandy and does give our 5233 a rather premium look. But for me I guess Oratsu HS is way better and gives me the same kind of functionality or even better in some respect. It is also very light on system resources. Consumes even less RAM than Vodafone HS or contacts bar.
The widgets in C6 is rather limited to a single HS. But with oratsuHS I get infinite no of scrollable shortcuts, contacts or widgets.
I'd rather have those transitions ported to 5233 cfw. And BTW i'm totally at home using Katalyst^2. I really enjoy the liberty of being able to instal whatever Oratsu mod I can find. There is a whole forum dedicated to these mods on dailymobile.se. I just can't seem to find a good enough reason to try the C6 port.

Just don't forget to hard reset before and after flashing then. Actually, installing phoenix is a pain. You also have to uninstall jaf before installing it. Or else you won't be able to put the firmware files into the necessary folder (says its restricted). Am not 100% sure though. Besides, I installed phoinix a year ago. Forgot the link and also the method.

The end result in this case is a safe firmware. So don't worry, just go on. Everyone else in Pnht said that its ok. So, don't worry.

Flashing cfws using jaf is fine but use phoenix to flash if you are updating the firmware or installing something that is original. Phoenix flashes better, I have experienced. Good luck again.

Cause the people of PNHT was trying since a couple of months for this thing to work successfully. Unlike CFWs where only the descriptor files (rofs2, rofs3 and uda) are edited and modified, this C6 firmware for 5233 is actually the original firmware belonging to nokia c6. But we can't just put some other phone's firmware into another. Its restricted by software and hardware integration codes. These restrictions(present in the core files) are needed to be messed with and modified so that they can merge with another hardware (for eg, nokia 5233). This is a very hard thing to do. If a single mistake in code breaking is done then the end result will be a bricked phone which can not be repaired by simple flashing. I hope you got the point.

rafh26, 06 Dec 2010man.. the cfw c6, does it work on nokia 5233 fw 21.1.102?Actually this file (nokia 5233 v21.1.102, with core files ported from nokia C6) has all the firmware files, including the core files. Hence the large size. I myself haven't tried it yet. I will get the file in the evening and then install at night. Don't try till then. Tomorrow I shall tell how it is. This firmware is different than usual cfws. So I myself am a bit conscious on the outcome. Btw, did you check out the youtube link I posted earlier. Your jaws will fall off, believe me. The transitions are too good. Rotation is exact iphone like. This is the reason I am ready to take the risk. Gosh... I just can't wait to get my hands on this firmware.
