Still cant agree with letter capture problem from a news paper.Btw i have never used my phone for any malpractices as you did.I did a diploma course in journalism and during that period tried to take photos of old papers with my 5233 and never got any success even with good light.
Never do any malpractices in exams at any excuse.Again, it is not for any hard feels.

JUSTBOUGHT5233, 19 Nov 2010utk/sb/side plz help me out here. i downloaded a theme name... moreHa ha. What a coincidence. I too am facing the same dilemma since about a month. And to surprise you to a higher extent, let me tell you this. I even hard resetted my phone and flashed it more than 5 times but the damn theme (named 'spb black') is still present in settings/personal/themes/general. At least now i know one thing from you. I too must have deleted the theme from my mmc. The theme shows that its stored in phone memory but that is not possible (at least after a hard reset). I tried all kinds of softwares to uninstall it but to no avail (nobody detected its presence). I haven't asked about this to anyone here because i believed that no one will ever understand the issue. Now i guess everyone will be interested.
Sidewinder, utk and others, please start posting your comments on this comedy of a situation.

JUSTSOLD5233 , 19 Nov 2010Just make your perspective correct boy. Do not try to white... moreI can guess pretty well why you want to take pictures of letters as small as those of newspapers. No offence but i once used my nokia 5130's 2MP camera to take picture of my HS english subject guide pages(1 full page for 1 shot, and continued to capture the whole book) to cheat in one of the terminal exams, lol. Just to prove a point to one of my friends. And i was 100% succesful in doing that. (Since mobiles were banned for major exams, i didn't use this technique ever. Besides, its time consuming) When zoomed upto 4x, i was able to see each and every letters clearly. So no matter how much you argue with me regarding letter capture with a 2mp camera, i won't agree with you.
As with the bluish tint, yes i aggre with that. But i never disagreed to that in the first place. I tried to correct your wrong notion on taking pictures of newspapers (using word like 'perspective'). Btw, don't mock me using words like 'Boy'. People use this word to either insult someone or to address to one's grandson! And again, sorry if i offended you.

utk/sb/side plz help me out here. i downloaded a theme named "dark embossed black" in my memory card. i saved it in the download folder of my mmc. later installed it & set it as the theme. today i deleted the theme from my mmc. but when i am going to settings/personal/themes/general, the theme is present there. so i went to app manager/installed apps & to my utter surprise found that the theme is not present there. i opened xplore & checked all the folders of 4 drives, but it was nowhere. PLZ HELP ME. I WANT TO REMOVE THAT THEME AND UNINSTALL IT. PLZ GUIDE ME IN DETAILS.

bhardwaj918, 19 Nov 2010then can u tell me the best firmware for my nokia 5233Katalyst^6. It's basic, doesn't come with too many features but it can be customised according to our liking.
Or check out all of them and find out which one you like.
Some other cfws available are electron^3, nokia envy, thunderblade^2, aov28 and many more.

I agree with you on colour reproduction. This cam does struggle to reproduce colours properly. But that's more of a software related problem than hardware.

bhardwaj918, 19 Nov 2010is it anyhoow possible to instal revenge 6 in nokia 5233 v2... moreYeah, download latest original firmware. Download Nokia Editor beta 7.
Using nokia editor, extract the rofs2 & rofs3 files of revenge^6. Repeat the same process with original firmware. Now compare the extracted files of original and revenge^6 and figure out the changes made in revenge^6. Copy or replace all those to the respective rofs of original firmware. Now repack your original firmware's rofs files. Keep you fingers close and flash your phone. Although your phone wont get bricked, there is no guaranty that you will get the full functionality of revenge^6 in your new firmware.
Frankly, building a new CFW from scratch may be much easier process than the above mentioned one.

Do not try to whitewash the bluish camera with some vague statements. You cannot view the letters(not headlines )of a newspaper clearly from any distance or from any zooming levels. Cannot use the camera without good light. Grainy lines with the picture is guaranteed with dark areas. Whatever the fps or whatever the noise suppression the various settings in it is useless and just for a fun. The camera without even any auto focus well matches to your perspectives since your statements also not have any focus on any points. Of course ,this also is not for any bad feels.

JUSTSOLD5233, 18 Nov 2010Hey camera is not that good. Works good only with good ligh... more1. Taking close pictures (i.e less than 30cm gap), makes them blurry. Its because of absence of autofocus. But if you take the picture from some distance (more than 30cm but not too much away) then everything becomes clear. So, try taking a newspaper photo from a distance and then try zooming in. You will definately see clear letters.
2. There is no difference in picture quality, whatsoever, between landscape and portrait orientation.
3. This camera is better in sense of speed in picture processing. I myself have taken 7 or 8 picture per 10 seconds. The grains you mentioned is what we say Noise. No phone in this price can provide better noise suppresion while maintaining optimum image quality. Only high end camera phones like the nokia n8 can give the satisfaction you are wishing for.
Btw, i am not posting any negative comment on your post. I am just trying to get your perspective correct. No hard feelings, i hope.
