Tell me all gud users for nokia 5233 if any budy knowz about the video player or any tweek or else which helps me to play all the video on single plate form... like vlc player which plays all the files....

I've been plannin to upgrade to Revenge 6 as well but the one thing that prevented me from doing so is the default folder for music. I want the music library to scan E:\Music by default. This way I can easily sync my music files with media player.
Also tell me how's the performance and looks compared to AOV mod and which variant would you suggest. i want one with the best performance and minimal bugs. Don't really care about effects or HS.

and once you are done with that, we will surely help you in choosing the right custom firmware or any other mods or hacks. Just search in google about flashing phone and you will get plenty of guides giving you step by step procedures with pics. Feel free to ask any doubts here.

If you don't have any experience with flashing then you better read some articles/guides on it. Most of us here have spent a lot of time on mobile forums reading guides on "how to flash a phone" before we flashed ours.

Just like utk said, all you guys who wants to stand out among all other symbian users, better get yourself a custom firmware. There is two in the net that has really amused me, utk and sidewinder. One being the AOV MEGA OR ELITE MOD and the other (which is my and utk's latest favorite) being REVENGE^6. We both are using REVENGE^6. The difference between the original and the custom firmwares is huge. First, the custom ones look damn cool, second, they are fast. While using the original firmware i had more than a couple of times of hanging. But with the custom ones, i haven't even experienced a freeze, forget hanging. And i have been using custom firmware for about a month now.

Better kinetic scrolling, menu transitions, widgets, home screens etc etc. If you need any help just ask me, Sbdevilmind or sidewinder.

I suggest you guys should use 'any video converter' or 'total video converter' or (the
best free video converter) i.e 'Format Factory'. I use format factory.
The settings are as follows.
1. Video codec: divx or xvid
2. Audio codec: aac
3. Video bitrate: 1000 kbps or less (if size conscious) or upto 3mbps (if
quality conscious)
4. Audio bitrate: 128 kbps or more
5. Resolution: 640x360
6. Frame rate: default
7. Aspect ratio: 16:9
or normal
8. Container: mp4
note: divx or xvid video codec has nothing to do with divx or xvid
video format. Any question regarding the settings are welcome.

I don't like SPB shell more than the modded firmware i am using. I find it a pain to use SPB. And there is no way to exit once you start it. Still, keep searchimg through google and you might be lucky.

Haris, 27 Sep 2010attention 5233 users do you know any single video player... moreThe only application that plays all formats properly is core player. But it is not available for s60v5 yet. All the other players on the internet are useless. Even if they do support multiple file formats, they can't decode them without dropping the frame rate. Its very annoying to see videos in slow motion. They are so slow that you can even count the frames if you want to.
