Anyways going to buy 5233 or 5230 or 5228(If available here) today for my mother(in other words for me..lol).

Wow... Thank u guys for enlightning me on that issue. I guess I can confidently go on and reconvert my Avatar BRrip to 2mbps and see what happens. And one more thing you experts. Does the allocation size of a memory card have anything to do with the phone's overall performance. It's because just the other day, i found out that by default the phone quick formats my 8Gb card with FAt32 file system and 32kb allocation unit size. I read that higher allocation unit size would speed up transfer rates and makes the card much faster but the negative side being wastage of space. Anyway I full formated my card on PC using 64kb as the default allocation size. and also reflashed my phone's firmware. After that I transferred the same files and reinstalled all the necessary softwares. But to my surprise, now the gallery has become blazingly fast. i have about 700 3.2mp images (which i too for my college tour with my friend's n73) and before formatting, it took me ages to get the gallery opened. But now everything is much much faster.
I'm not sure if it is the new allocation size or because I reflashed my firmware. Any guess guys? Also before doing the format I thought that the loss of space would be too much if I used 64kb but to my surprise, the only loss with almost a full 8GB card with mostly mp3's and videos and a few apps is like 80MB which is quite acceptable for me considering it's only 1% of wasted space.

Then only an end user would be sure that his device would find no problems in writing datas in time constrained situations for eg, writing raw video data into the memory card while newer video data is getting piled up to be written. If this flow is restrained then either the camera or the device will crash. I already know that a class 2 memory card can give a read speed of upto 3-4MBps. I was just clarifying his misunderstandings about the video bitrate to data transfer interrelations. I was hoping to get a part of other's understanding for eg, you, on my opinion. Do you agree to what i said earlier. Come on man. This is how people share their discoveries. Cheers.

sun, 20 Sep 2010Hi,
SIDEWINDER
im thanksfull if you give info on how to ... moreHere is the settings i use for my videos.
I suggest you use 'any video converter' or 'total video converter' or (the best free video converter) i.e 'Format Factory'. I use format factory. The settings are as follows.
1. Video codec: divx or xvid
2. Audio codec: aac
3. Video bitrate: 1000 kbps or less (if size conscious) or upto 3mbps (if quality conscious)
4. Audio bitrate: 128 kbps or more
5. Resolution: 640x360
6. Frame rate: default
7. Aspect ratio: 16:9
or normal
8. Container: mp4
note: divx or xvid video codec has nothing to do with divx or xvid video format. Any question regarding the settings are welcome.

SidewindeR, 20 Sep 2010Ok mate here's the settings that I use with Total video con... moreThe settings you gave is good but it not optimum as you said. I have mingled with video converters and conversion settings for more than 2 months for the best settings for my previous nokia 5130XM. I learned a lot during that, so i would like to share what i did.
First, you are wrong that lower class memory card might result in slow video playback. Have you ever checked the bitrate of the videos that were recorded by the phone's camera? They are of 2700kbps. I use a class 2 4gb card, still these videos play without any lag whatsoever. Usually a class 2 memory card is capable of playing videos at bitrate as high as 10mbps or more. Now you might be thinking that i have surely gone nuts, right? Don't worry, i will explain myself. As you might already know that the class numbers in the memory card predict the average data transfer rate. For example in a class 4 memory card, the data transfer is of 4MBps average and similarly in class 6 it will be 6MBps average. Now you also know that there is a huge difference between kbps and KBps i.e kilo bits per second and kilo bytes per second respectively. The same goes for mbps and MBps. The speed i am talking about in the memory card is MBps not mbps. Now, a video of bitrate 800kbps will give a data transfer of 100KBps. Since 8bit = 1byte. So just in order to get to the maximum data transfer rate of a class 2 memory card i.e 2MBps, the video bitrate should be as high as 2X8 = 16mbps. Now thats crazy. So, a class 2 memory card can never slow a video down.

Anonymous, 20 Sep 2010plz tell me where can I get Dz music key signed version....There is no signed version of djmusic key on the internet. You will have to sigh the application yourself. For that, get yourself a certificate and key from s60certkey. Don't go to Opda, they are too slow. After you get them, contact me again here.

Anonymous, 20 Sep 2010Mate is there any prob to ear by usinga inear earphone like... moreNah it wont affect your health as long as you don't use too much volume. Infact, it is much better than using inear buds as you don't have to turn up the volume in public noisy places to mask out the ambient noise. The noise isolation provided by inear earphones actually prevents you from listening to music at high volumes and as long as the earphone can deliver almost the same sound output levels in different conditions, there is no problems in using an inear earphone like the ep-630. The rule is better the noise isolation, the lower the volume needed.

But this was something I could'n resist especially for a geek like me. There is so much I could do to keep me fully engaged. The reason I don't visit GM200 anymore is because I've got nothing more to give as i don't use it anymore. Still miss it sometimes especially that badass sound. I think that's the only weakness of this phone over my LG.

sun, 20 Sep 2010Hi,
SIDEWINDER
im thanksfull if you give info on how to ... moreOk mate here's the settings that I use with Total video converter which i believe is the optimal video encoding settings.
Video container format : mp4
Video codec : mpeg4 (not mpeg4 avc or h.264)
Frame rate : Original or system default
Video resolution : 640x360
Video bitrate : 700kbps
Audio : AAC
Audio bitrate : 80kbps stereo
Aspect ratio : Normal
And btw I use a 8GB class6 micro SD card. So there is a possibility for the video to lag if played from a slower speed card. In that case, just decrease the video bitrate to 600kbps.
