I have my 5233 for nearly 4 months, its really rocking. I would like to know whether its possible to connect my phone to creative PC speakers through the 3.5mm jack directly. Does it cause any harm to my mobile. Please anyone reply. Thanks

Hey to all i am using this phone for around 2 months now it cost Rs.6400 .display is like lcd monitor net is very-2 quick i have installed opera mini 10 symbian applications,java mostly all apps. so many features like acorbat reader, i have installed netqin antivirus 3d games not ended many more so first you buy cheap symbian phone do not see money only because sasta roe baar mehanga rohe ak baar go for it thanx....

the difference between opera mobile 10 and opera mini 5.1 is that opera mobile 10 is meant for high-end net surfing for those who got unlimited gprs browsing plans. opera 10 renders pages like u see them on ur pc.
but for those of us with limited usage gprs plans u better go for opera mini 5.1 which is a java based application and compresses pages for minimal display of flash content and maximal display of necessary information. that way u wont run out of ur usage limit in a matter of a few days.
i got vodafone rs.98 gprs plan (80 mb surfing/downloading for 30 days) so i can't afford viewing pages in their original form. hope u get the point.

Well a few tips to prevent the phone from heating up and for saving battery.
1) Never leave apps running in the background. Close them properly by exiting as soon as you are finished.
2) Display is the biggest battery hog in this phone so try setting the display timeout to 15 seconds or lower and set the autoscreen lock to 30 seconds.
3) Make it a habit to lock the phone manually using the lock key whenever the phone is not being used.
4) Set the brightness down to 45% or something which gives you a balance between power saving and adequate brightness.
5) Install Dzmusic key application so that front row keys can be used to change and pause music tracks. This way you don't have to unlock the phone each time you need to change track.
This way you can get upto 3 days of minimal usage or 2 days of moderate usage with every charge.

I brought this model on 18 august 2010 exactly one month back. In the last one month the phone hanged 8 times. If you use the screen continuously for about 1 -2 hours the battery runs out so fast. It is not having play back time as claimed in the specs. It plays radio/music only for few hours. If you use only for occasional phone calls then it is ok. IF you plan for multipurpose usage then this is not the one for you

- good 2 mp camera
- excellent video recording
- very good sound output (through third party headset, supplied headset is a crap)
- excellent browsing experience with 3.2 inch screen.
- unlimited no. of symbian softwares installations for customization.
the only drawback is average loudspeaker volume. you cant here the ringtone in market places & very bad sunlight visibility.
choice is yours !

there is no charges for navigation in 5230. its life time free from nokia for all gps enabled phone.
