Hi, I recently buy a 5233, but a have a question, in the sales package doesn´t come the data cable, only the charger, the stylus and the headphones, really bad ones by the way, I need to know the model of the cable to ask a friend to buy it 4 me,because in my country we don´t have nokia stores, please help me with the model, thanks a lot

luis, 18 Jul 2010I was going to pick this phone on my contract but the lack ... moreE63 and 5233 supplement each other. One is entry level qwerty in business fones having document editor, pdf reader , wlan, 3g, though not upto mark camera . While 5233 is entry level touchscreen with gprs/edge only & no 3g, no wlan, no docu readers but better camera but no flash but having photo/video editor. The image editor of 5233 is advanced and if not satisfied by photos clicked in low light can be corrected by the editor. Realplayer of 5233 more advanced. Better music/video than e63. 5233s s60v5 Browser after updation is more advanced than e63s s60v3 browser. Certain websites not shown in e63 appear in 5233 browser. I have both & they happily coexist with each other

Almost a week since i've updated my phone and so far, my phone has restarted only twice. So all in all, the stability has increased. No notable bugs yet. But one thing I've noticed is that after doing a hard reset immediately after the software update, the maps application seem to have disappeared. So I had to resort to installing the latest Ovi maps manually...

I was going to pick this phone on my contract but the lack of Wi-Fi was a deal breaker for me so I just picked an E63. I don´t mind the basic music player and worst audio quality than 5233. I´m fine with my current phone but I´ve to admit that this 5233 offers A LOT for the money (I had to pay 60 U$ more for E63).

Nokia found out that there is really a problem with my 5233 unit regarding TIME setting so they replaced it with a new unit (just the handset only not including the battery and other accessories). Right now no problem yet so far and now I'm enjoying my 5233. Great phone for the right price. The 2.0MP camera is fair enough, music quality is good and the speakerphone is just right. Mobile Web connection in EDGE is already fast enough though other 3G mobile is faster. Touch response is great and when tilted horizontally, you can use qwerty keypad. There's software update for new features, applications and for better performance. If you want to experience a phone with a touch, try this phone. Great phone at a right price.
