SidewindeR, 03 Jul 2010Hi mate.... The built in video player does support playback... moreThere is an alternative method. Install OVI suite first and then connect the device. Then right click on the video and click the send to option and select the phone which will be recognised by windows as a portable media player. Make sure you connect the phone in PC suite mode. On selecting the device, an option will be displayed whether the video needs to be converted so as to be compatable with the phone's video player. If you click yes, the video will be converted automatically and will be copied to the phone. Mind you though the converted videois in wmv format, the quality is rather poor.

Beat, 02 Jul 2010I m using this phone since 19 may . I m not able 2 watch wm... moreHi mate.... The built in video player does support playback of wmv videos but there are certain limitations regarding the encoder settings as well as video settings. Why don't you try mp4 videos. It's fully compatable with the native player and easily plays 640x360 videos without breaking a sweat. Try using Total video converter and convert your videos using mpeg4 (not AVC) codec. For me it gies the best quality while keeping down the file size. I use 640x360 resolution at 700kbps video bit rate which gives me the perfect balance between video quality and performance.

Alisha, 01 Jul 2010Thank you But "check 4 updates" option is where ?How to update over the air [OTA]Tutorial 101:
Look for the Application on ur fon named SW update. Open it and it will automatically connect you to Nokia after selecting the right access point. You should be aware that data charges will apply. After the application finished searching, possible sw updates and upgrades will appear on the screen. You just have to choose the latest software and download it. After downloading then install and it will automatically update ur firmware. As simple as that, u don't have to go to Nokia Care or use a pc and ovi suite. If you are to update OTA just make sure your battery is not low or about to get low.
I hope this one helped you! Enjoy v21!

Sounds like lil Sammy doesn't have a good judgment over which is better. Trashing n5233 for a corby pop? I mean there's nothing bad owning a corby at all (i think it's a nice phone but n5233 is way better), it is just that ur making an unfair comparison. I don't really care if you prefer corby rather than n5233 but branding n5233 a bad phone is unacceptable. That only means you don't own a n5233 at all that's why you don't know how cool this phone is. It got even cooler with the new FW. I just updated my FW over the air, and yeah previous comments were all right. Playing Youtube videos on the browser is just so cool and the kinetic scrolling on menu is a lil comfort. About the alphabet to know what letter are you on in the music list, the old fw already has that feature. New apps: Shazam and ovi sync but nokia map was removed.

Sammy, 02 Jul 2010Disgusting phone. Nokia is bad in terms of sound quality. ... moreHey mate... One question. Do you really own a 5233? How can you just compare a feature phone like corby with a smart phone like this. It's utter nonsense as both phones have very little in common apart from the fact that both phones have a touch interface. It's like comparing an e63 with a micromax q3. Fyi dont blame the phone and instead get a good pair of earphones like philips or sennheisers for better audio quality. This is one of the best sounding phones out in the market. Quality eaephones will cost you 1.5k atleast. So please stop bashing and promoting you corby. No one here is bothered as we all know the truth. Smart phones are not all about facebook and twitter though it forms a small part of what they are really capable of doing.
