How many people need and use the TV out functionality of the 5800? I mean DVD players with USB ports and can play avis, divxs, etc are a dime a dozen nowadays. The reason why a mobile phone is called that-mobile- is because you are not supposed to stick it to a non-mobile device because the use of both would defeat the purpose.
Personally, If I have the money for a higher end phone like the 5800, I'd rather spend it on a 5233 and an Ipod touch. the difference is just a little over thousand bucks.

Nokia is customer oriented and sensitive to the needs of its customers. The growing Nokia Care Centers in our country is a proof of their good service. I had few experiences visiting Nokia Care here in our place and their service was quite satisfactory.

i have bought this one it is good looking notall looking cheap battery backup is not that great i have to charge it everyday but after continously playing musics or hq videos or playing games for 6-7 hrs the camera is average not bad speaker volume is low headphone volume is gd but the headphone is notatall comfortable in ears it has 82mb internal memory not 70 mb touch interface also very reactive i have to say it is a good phone if u ignore the low volume speakers

I can't seem to understand what the fuss is all about. This phone has been out for quite a while now and here in India, this phone is selling like hot pancakes. For the budget of a good feature phone, you get a touchscreen smart phone with decent hardware and performance. Those who bash this mobile should think of that first. No other cellphone company offers a smart phone at this low a price.
It is a testament to Nokia's care for its valued customers. We demanded a cheap and affordable smartphone and this is what Nokia gives us in return. Come on guys if you want 3G go for 5230. For everything else, 5800 or n97 or even N900. This phone is clearly meant for those few who don't care about all these extras. And that is quite a few as this is one of the best selling handsets in India. This phone is the perfect bridge between a high end smart phone and a good feature phone.

This is phone for people who have limited budget . In india it is the cheapest touch smart phone. I think 3g and gps is not used in india by almost 95 percent mobile user. . And also wifi hot spots are rare. And also 3g eats battery at double rate of 2g. And bad thing about this phone is its camera,performance and dimension. Its most stable in nokias touchphone category. But this is most unreliable phone. Better to keep another non smartphone for critical uses like in travelling or morning alarm etc because i have missed alarms many times. Screen will be blank and no alarm sound. Sometimes there is 3 to 5 minutes jumps in clocks. These problems may be in my set only .But for multimedia and internet browsing it is very good in this category. and also there are lot of free application for this but problem is most are available in untrusted sites. So there is too much risk of virus and then mobile crashes. Go for it if you want cheapest touch smartphone but use it very sensible it will problem free.

Hello guys ,
Finally we all 5233 users got our own fourm for 5233
I m using this phone since 15th may and i bought it in 6600 INR. With 2 extra back covers and data cable . Now i can say that it is the best phon i ever used (i have used nokia 5310 ,5130 3500c , 3310c , n72 , n93 ,samsung e250 , s3500 , s3310 etc )
1- batry life- great
I can use continously 6 to 7 hours
2- web browsing- great 4 me , i using airtel 98 pack and it gives good downloading speed.
3- apps and themes - this is the biggest advantage of nokia cells that u can download million of themes and applications . This feature converts this phone in a computer
5- i m able to watch youtube videos and its quality is superb
I love my nokia5233 thanks

Maybe somebody knows why Nokia don´t make more cell phone models this year. Really is poor the production of Nokia in 2010.
