But if anyone is facing, one just has to reinstall firmware by using Nokia Software Installer. Auto restart is a common problem on touch based s60v5 phones irrespective of model no and problem persist because of corrupted ROM files. As said, it can be solved by reinstalling firmware.

I've purchased this phone two weeks before.
cost- 8850Rs , Kerala India
It is ok
the two main disadavantage i found and confirmed from nokia is that
1. This phone did not come with 320mb internal memory as mentioned in the specification.(only 86Mb and for user around 50Mb practicaaly available)
2.No office apps will be preinstalled
I've installed Kaspersky mobile security V9 trial is working fine.
With this application installed the when the phone staring the memory usage is 70-80Mb RAM and max ram is 128Mb.
normaily 0.5w is the power consumption.
when screen is off power consumption is below 0.1w
with screen on
When using gprs/edge downloads power -0.8w
music player alone - 0.3w-0.4w
Agps -1w-1.2w
All measurement from application -Energy Profiler(from nokia ovi)
for Net opera mini is good
Opera Mobile is bit heavy and u will get memory full like error messages with good graphics 20 pages loading (opera mobile 10 beeta).
With 3-5hr Net browsing and even if net is on and idle the battery will drain faster
My battery sustain for 1.5days (frequent net user)
Download speeds (With BSNL ) Edge - 10-23Kbps practical
3G -> 150-204 Kbps.
Music - nice but not that much good as 5800. Mono speakers. And not so LOud
Headset is goood with nice voice cancelling properties but design of the controls are not much good.
Touch pad .. and screen
Good (6.5/10)
In day light very difficult to view.
Photos.
Nice with some good options.
fast shutter speed and response.
Ovi Maps.
Note It come with 10 Days Premium service option like driving navigations etc. and voice guided navigation.
1 year premium service cost is around 700Rs and need to be purchase if u need driving navigation option etc.
overall phone operation.
Within the first hour the phone restarted 3 times.
Within two weeks phone freesed 4 times with even power button not working and need to mannually remove the battery.
Overall restating rate 6-10 times/week.
Message.
no option for saving phone number from message options.
camera.
No options to mute the camera sounds options.
bluetooth.
If u send a an item say picture to another mobile the bluetooth won't be turned off automaticaly after sending .u have to amnually turn this off...

Conclusion
The diffrence between Nokia 5235 n 5230 is nothing but The ovi music unlimited option.
But the music u download from these site can be played only in one PC and one Mobile. which are activated for OVi unlimited option
And there are several indian tracks also available but the collection is not Perfect.
So go for this phone if u want ovi music unlimited option.
All the other things are similar to 5230 and 5235 cost around Rs. 1500/- higher.

This is a benefit of Smartphone (a phone with particular OS). So Monte and 5235 are incomparable because of the fact that 5235 is a smartphone while Monte is a ordinary phone.

jvm, 27 May 2010does the sports tracker works on your 5235Yes, Sports Tracker application works very fine in 5235 as 5235 is a AGPS enabled phone. Sport tracker is a nice application and its available to download on OVI store at free of cost.
