the video formats comptible with this fone are.......
mp4 u can convert ur files upto 640x480 screen resolution...
'' .wmv'' it works too...
3gp ofcourse works.....
And this phone is playing .rmvb files without a hitch which is gr8 thanks to the real player preinstalled.....
All of these formats can work with 640x480 resolution..... U can use a free converter like format factory to convert the videos.....

1. How much batter... moreBattery life of my phone is around 2.5 to 3 days for normal use when I just use it for calling and messaging and little bit music. But using GPS, internet drains the battery very quickly. Using internet continuously for 8-9 hours drains the battery completely.
Yes, Arprit. Flashing the 5235 with 5230 is very easy as they both are RM 588 phones having internal functions exactly same. Many users have done that successfully. Normally when you will connect your 5235 phone and check on NSU, it will detect your phone as 5230. But still you won't be able to install 5230's firmware. NSU will still say you have latest version. To do that, you have to change to change product code to that of 5230 using one programme called JAF. Its very very easy and 2 minutes work. I tried it. Then NSU actually allows to install latest 5230's latest firmware which is v21.00.04
As I told, I am going to try it soon if Nokia doesn't allow official update. I will let you guys know what happens.

this is my 3rd post tonite....i was just googling about nokia 5235 firmwares and found a little piece of information..... Nokia 5235 china variant is running on v20.6.007....was wondering if anyone can confirm it because its a good news for all users

the main difference b/w nokia 5235 and nokia 5230.....
Nokia 5235 comes wid unlimited ovi music download for a year...... While the nokia 5230 does not...
Nokia 5235 has a chromium metal frame which is replaced by a plactic one in 5230 .... This means tht nokia 5235 sports better looks....
Nokia 5235 is coming with WH-701 in-ear earphones.... While nokia 5230 comes with a pair of basic quaity earphones....which is a turndown for music lovers....
I donno about other stores but when i bought the phone( 3 weeks back) i got a 2gb micro sd card free with it, i got it from nokia priority ......nokia 5230 does not come with a micro sd card in-box...
5235 is still not getting firmware updates and is stuck on version 12.something....which has bugs and issues while 5230 is getting constant firmware update and firmware 20..something is now available for users ......

1. How much battery life are u getting out of this phone and how much are u using it b4 the battery gets over??
Nd i totally agree wid anuj....if nokia doesn't provide an update soon ..... A simple way of updating is that u can use nokia software updater to update the phone to 5230's firmware as NSU recognises it as nokia 5230 ;)
