I am using this phone for 1yr. Phone is very nice.
Best app is netqin v3.0 for increasing performance. If the phone memmory is low it will hang. Netqin have an option to remove junkfiles in your phone memmory. Junk files comes due to webbrowsing.
I have updated this phone s/w yesterday from nokia care. Now there is pdf viewer, internet radio, and a new web browser.
Web browser is superb if you have 3g. Build quality is superb (i hve droped it 15+ times).
There is only two complaints but it do not frustrate me
1. Recieved files from bluetooth goes to sms
2. Games wont run too smoothly like android

This is the best phone I have ever used...You have everything needed on it.There is no Wifi and front cam but who uses them these days..Wifi is not available everywhere and skype calls are not possible from mobile internet speeds.Nokia maps works to its best with life time voice navigation.The battery life is pretty good.Coming to the present android craze..The only benefit in android is the applications but you can find all the famous applications on the nokia store also like nimbuzz, skype, whatsapp, ngpay, bookmyshow, raaga player and many other applications.

Hi, after an year i am experencing the phone is getting hang and get restart itself. i use it for the net n also have a good anti virus with license. can u give me the reason for the pcs getting hang.

Hi, m using this phone since 1 & half yrs.. I hav not faced any probs, hav got some issues but nokia care gave me a good response..
Recently i hav updated d software, its version date is 28/4/2011, and customer version is 50.6.001.c02.01, is this a new version..? and whether it gives a smooth internet experience? Coz b4 they updated wit 5230's version.. Anybody pls tel me i hav to stick to this or go for the 5230's software..

5235 has a bigger screen which makes it easier to read and use and it also has GPS that can help you a lot to find your way.
5530 has WiFi and if you can reach a WiFi internet service in your area you can use cheaper internet with it.
5800 has the benefits of both above mentioned phones.
SonyEricsson Vivaz overcomes 5800 with a 8 MegaPixel Camera and HD (720p) video recording.
and finally, if you do not need neither GPS nor WiFi a cheaper phone 5233 featured with the same display of 5800 or 5230 and a 2 MP camera with QHD (640x360 pixels) 30fps video recording can be a good choice.
