Its a good phone in this price range. Go for it..
One problem, when ever I charge this phone, the ring tone autmatically change to default Nokia tone. Can any one facing same problem, Please suggest remedies.

im going to have to get rid of this phone. i listen to music walking to work and walking home, but after two phone calls the battery is almost gone! this is a toy phone, not suitable for these days

I have this phone for 5 months now. the only thing that i dont like is that the battery life is one day. ok its a little longer than a day, but if you listen to musiq the whole day, the battery will die.
It's a really nice phone, it's user friendly, it's easy to transfer files.
just the battery thingy.

This phone is for everyone.. not a girl phone or a boy phone.. there is no law saying girls cant have this phone.. anyone can uy this phone.. its cool and nifty and very handy.. i love it and i hope to get it today.. thanx so much ballathrilla, that was good comment and you've made me want it so much more.. thanx everyone for advice about this phone and all your opinions that you've sent in.. =]

I just go thtis phone last week and it was great and the sound quality is superb with base. But i notice one fault in which it will hang when i try to update my song in Memory card. Which i found out to be incompatible with mp3. i ended up need to format my memory card and use aac format. Please advice ... thank you.

I just received this phone just yesterday and I must admit, I was ecstatic. I found nothing wrong with the phone thus far. The sliding mechanism is amazing, it locks in pretty well; but when closed it does wiggle a bit but that is normal to other slider phones too ex. RIZR. The UI is pretty fast and i would put Nokia UI second to SE UI if not,ahead. The music player is fantastic, good enough to replace your mp3 player especially since it comes with a 1gb packaged to it with T-Mobile but you'll have to use the headset adapter that comes in the package because the packaged headset wasn't that great of quality. I have also figured out that when you add new songs, you can just simply go to the music player and press "Update Player" instead of turning it off and back on. The camera is a decent 1.3 mp, but still better than the RIZR 2mp. Sad to say there is no flash but a self-portrait mirror. There are quite a bit a few extra accessories to the phone that i have recently experienced that nobody has mentioned; When the phone is lit up, the lower half of the top slide, the plastic is transparent and there is a light that lights up. However, it is not like the w850i's light, the 5300's light is just there when the phone is lit up. Also, when the phone is lit up, if you lightly put and rub your thumb around against the keypad, the light illuminates and follows your thumb. Anyways, the keypad is great for texting and the voice clarity is very clear. On the false side, to me, there isn't a strong enough vibration when the phone vibrates. i love this phone, i'd give it about 4.5/5, close to perfection. Better than the RIZR.

hey guys..i searched all over this site and i think sonny ericssion s500 and nokia 5300 is the only girly phone with good specs..can any girl give me any advice.i actually want a nokia or a samsung as soon as possible..pls help a good girly phone :(

I just got one yesterday. Its nicely packed and came with a 512 transflash card. Nifty little tool. Its amazingly different and its a nokia. nice slide and clear colors. You can set any mp3 as a ringtone by selecting it in options. Loudspeaker is just sweeeet!
Red for blondes gals and grey & black ones for boys. dont think otherwise please but its doesnt matter, both produce the same quality STEREo sound. 1 gb can give u a good time of music. Battery life so far looks great provided u give it a good initial charge. If u cane ur fone like ur ipod u wont be getting the same results, unless u turn wireless off. to insert or remove the card isn`t such an issue as u use the cable anyways unless u have to change cards to change ur song collections. just get a 2gb card and chill out. worth its price and great features!!
camera is splendid but u have to careful not to move as there is that shutter delay that causes the picture to swaaay a bit.all in all a youth fone.nokia produced a good slide this time along.

O.M.G.!! i just got my nokia 5300 yesterday and now it's full of songs already ... and i totally love it's kinda cheap but the features are really cool the games is cute too...

My nokia phone does not work on load speaker when i play it. Please suggest and it does not let put the whole song as a ring tone.

john: That's how I felt when I first bought it... But after using it for some time now.. The battery is now ok..It's not in my perception, I mean the battery really changed its performance... It's alright now..

keicee: I remember nokia claimed it to work with mp4 videos.. But I can't make it work, with mp4 format, only the sound of it plays, no video..
I think only 3gp format works.. But maybe there's a java based player you can download..
