The phone was fun in the beginning but after a month, the loudspeaker in the back broke and whenever i play music it makes this weird noise =[. 3 of my friends have this phone now and one had the same problem as i did...in conclusion on OK phone 7/10

it's a ultimate phone. thanks nokia for making nokia 5300. it's a best phon in it's class.

Hello. I just bought the Nokia 5300 black. I can give you accurate information on its performance and features. The sound quality with the included earphones is clear and loud, but there is NO bass. This will be clear especially if you have previously used a SE phone. Other features are neat and decent. If there is anything you want to know, ask me.

i had this phone for about 4months. its ok.
camera is only good in daylight. night time even if got light also cannot. must use night mode.
reception kind of poor but acceptable. Music quality is great. no creaks. slider is kind of shaky. average phone but better than my old phone (N6020) i give it a rating 7/10 cause of its music. if you want a nice,stylish and cheap phone, this is for you. btw 3.5mm other headsets can be used too! thats the best.

I think this handset is an excellent and complete phone within a quite reasonable price.I think its the most cheap phone you will find with so many features.
Its also stylish along with a quite good camera.And I must tell you the music quality of this phone ROXXXX.

I have been using this phone from time first sold by nokia. I have no issues with it. The picture quality and video r grt, music works fine, reception in my area is fantastic

Listen to me and not buy this phone because it totally sucks. Mine broke into half after half a year. The stereo is good at first but once you drop it. The casing gets real loose and the music gets all blur.My 1G memory card got wasted as well because the bluetooth fuction could not be use after half of the memory is used up.Im not sure if others have experience but one thing for sure. These phone is the worst phone i've ever taken and im changing to Sony Ericsson's W760i.

hv been using tis fone since december 2006..
the fone itself has only a pathetic 5mb..
but tat shouldnt b a prob coz u can use the memory card~
pictures r easily blurred if u use the nite mode..but overall the camera is quite ok.
the music is loud n quite clear,
so im not disappointed wif it~
however,the battery sucks~
also,if i dun use the speakerfone while talking,i cant hear clearly wat the other person is saying..
my fone is starting 2 break down now..
the navigation buttons cant b used..
the sent msgs r also automatically deleted when the fone runs out of battery or turns off by itself.so when i turn on the fone,the sent msgs r all missing.
also,the button tat is used 2 hang up(the red button) is also broken.luckily tis is a slide fone so i can close the slide 2 hang up.
its quite bulky in size too..
overall,tis fone is quite ok..
but im planning 2 buy a new one coz mine cant b used if the navigation buttons r broken..==

Hey ppl,
I am not concerned about the war between various mobile companies/brands.I'm only here to share my personal experience with this mobile.
I bought it on 26th January 2007 from the Nokia showroon itself, it came with a "made in China" battery.. The first time i charged it was for 2-3hours since i was impatient to use it. For 1 year i was fedup of it because within 12hours the battery would be at its lowest point.
But just a month ago, i thought I'd buy another original battery and sell it off, this time i got a "made in Hungary" one and charged it for approx 8-9hours straight. To my surprise, ever since that day the battery always lasts for 2days.
If you have this phone too and are fedup with the battery life, try this out.(the original battery is a little expensive but its worth.) I have actually started falling in love with my 5300 now.

ive been using this phone for almost a year now.. music quality is good... overall a cool phone for music lovers except for the battery... it has poor battery life, i charge it almost 3x a day... =(

I bought it 1 yr back, this is amazing and the best in COST Benefit. Sond quality is gud, speed is also gud (provided phone memory in not much used).
D single problem which i m facing is that the connection with server is not so gud.
Bt al last this is a very gud to have in today's scenario (options r not available in this price group)

i had this phone almost a year it was my second phone what a good choice huh until dust started to get under my screen and i cant get it out i finally got an lcd prottector for it is very good with sound music and it also came wit one gig already i upgraded to two gigs now and im happy
