iv had this phone since november 2007, and i must say... it's been quite a phone.
i had it a my flash disk, celphone and music player rolled into one. it is bulky, but it's rather durable. it's a nice phone indeed.

Anonymous, 03 Jun 2008worst fone i have ever used...... signal strength is poooo... moreW550 sucks, it hasn't a card slot (it was supposed to be a music phone), it's damn big, has a small screen and lacks a 3.5mm jack in it's body (at least the adaptors for 5300 are cheaper). The only good things of W550 were the speakers, nothing more.

signal strength is pooooor..
sound quality is worst
i hav replaced this phone with sony ericsson w550i in just 3 weeks
Dont buy this phone
fone sucks
W550i rocks.....
but now unviable in market

this phone sucks,compare to my SE W700.5300 camera is only 1.3 megapixels and battery life shoooorrrt.

Btry drains so easily.
Nyway,u cn stil maximiz btry capacty.
Turn off screensaver/use dfalt nokia theme.
Kp ur keypad lockd.
Aftr locknd keypad,pres&hold red key until light turns off.
Dis wil save many nrgy.
& of course,do not charge phn b4 it shws"low btry".
Full charge taks 2hour&40 mnts.
Whn fully chargd,pull out the chargr 4m the sockt.

The only way is to hack my phone to convert it to the European model but I don't want to take that risk. Preferable to have some reboots.
So your 5310 is made in Hungary?? I'm asking that because a friend wants to buy a 5310 but it's the North American version too, so I want to know if the NOrth American 5310 can be updated to v5.81 (I heard that v3.63 have some faults ant the speaker volume is very quiet).

ONE OF THE BEST PHONES EVER. Had it in black and awesome features with GREAT loud sound and crystal clear. This thing is almost as good as my bose sound system. Camera, not the best but hey cameras on phones dont relaly matter. Infrared and so many other cool things. had it for months and hasnt had defects! =]

i used it for music max 1-2 hr
cam for 10-20min
calling 10 min
these r pre day only
no other applications used
then also batery decline in 1 day

Forhan, 27 May 20085700 is a gr8 phn luis. My frnd uses it. So i hv observd it... moreYou got great mobiles too. You don't have to purchase a micro sd card in Nokia center, they're very expensive. In my case I bought a 4gb micro sd for my 5700 on ebay and it cost only 42 US dollars (it included an USB card reader too). I got it cheap at that time (february this year) and it is SanDisk (the best brand in my opinion). Even if it was made in Taiwan it's working great, no matter if I have 2.8gb of music, videos, programs and games it's not giving me problems. The only problem is the firmware because I can't update to v4.21 (mine is 5700b v3.27, the American model) it reboots like 1-2 times per week. I hopeto have an update soon. But anyway is a great phone like my previous Nokias.
You have mentioned that you own a 5310. Is the European version(900/1800/1900) or the American version(850/1800/1900)???

Ive used this phone and i was really impressed. Until the bottom becomes loose due to sliding(I dont even slide it alot). The screen cracked once. I think that it has been to the shop for 6 times already. Trust me when i say that this phone is great for 2 months. And it sucks all the way down.
