I had one for about 6 months when the screen went haywire. It reminded me of a computer that the info went haywire on. I replaced it with another one like it, and in 3 weeks it did the same thing. I was told that it had physical damage by T-Mobile, and they said the same about the second one. When I asked about the problem they said that they had no knowledge of this happening before, and yet I had 2 that ended up with the same problem. I don't know what caused this and T-Mobile is very vague about the problem. I would not recommend this phone.

i have this for almost 1 year now... the battery life seems great... so as the features.. maybe for some people it sucks for me its o.k.

hey ppl, to those who are considering this phone, my comments: actually this phone is not that bad.. i have had this phone for quite some time now.. no major probz so far.. the music player is great! but u cant create various playlists though, unlike other phones.. Since its a music express phone the loudspeaker is really great! better than nokia 6300, i guess.. and the buttons at the side which u can use to control the music player makes it really cool! the black edition is a nice choice. but the camera sucks though! and the video cam is WORST! when u use the video cam in the dark. u can practically see anything! And u have to be very careful with the phone, once u drop it, thats it! it will start giving u all kind of weird probz.. overall this phone is not that bad and its very user friendly too.. and the msging function is great too. but, still i wont reccomend this phone to anyone because there are much better phones out there now and this phone is not exactly the latest! Although this phone has quite a number of impressive functions, i personally feel it has more disadvantages than advantages! so ppl, is u are considering this phone, pls DROP THE IDEA! have a nice day!

Is bluetooth headset possible for his model ie 5300. Can we use Buletooth headsets to listen to music. If yes what is the model number of the headset. Plsssssss replyy

The Nokia 5300 isn't that bad.. the design sort of sucks, but it gets the job done.. it's a pretty cheap phone and you can get it free when you start a new plan and all.. camera is a bit weak, but the music player is fine..
Overall.. it's a decent phone for the price and etc..

This phone is ok. Iv had it age's and work's fine. It sound's like u people have just had bad phone's thats why u have been having problems. Don't blame the phone blame the ppl u got it from.

Its a Great Phone il give it that!
i Like it, everytime i test my friends 5300 it amazes me. its soo good
i own a W850i and this 5300 is just as good
W850i is basically a High End Version of it

I am thinking of getting this phone, should I? It looks like a great phone, it is white and lavender, the one i am getting. SHould i get it???? I really need to know. They look like great phones. What kind should i get? I have T-mobile.

im using this phone since december 2006. then on jan 07' i have to replace the screen which coz me 200. then today, i have to replace the 'ribbon' (i dont know what is it) as when i open the slide, the middle button not functioning. so, i would not recommend this phone.

It's unfortunate that some people ran into problems with this great Nokia phone. I use it extensively on daily basis as a phone, as a connectivity device, as music player, camera etc. etc. It works great. No weird problems. I suggest that people reading this opinions column don't buy into thinking that this device is crap. It is not, in fact. Each product - even incredibly expensive or popular such as iPhone - gets this notorious coverage. Point is that it happens quite often that a consignment of the goods are manufactured with defects. Should you buy one of these it's highly advisable to return it and ask for replacement.

I had mine for over a year. Not very loud volume but otherwise great. Ok waiting for parts but what do you excpect after slamming against a wall???? Being a nokia fan bought 2630 since really need bluetooth for ar handsfree

I have had this phone since september 07 6 months now and have had to replace it twice I would not recommend that u buy this phone. When I plug in the charger the whole phone shuts down and then I lost 2 of my menu options I had to replace the battery and the charger and then the phone

let me tell you about this piece of crap phone. seriously it is the worst phone i have ever had. i am always having something go wrong with it. the sound wont work the web address thing wont work, i wouldnt suggest anyone getting this phone. the only goog thing about this phone is you can get it in purple

I got my phone in December and around the end of january the music player went messed up and it says there is some error and that it cannot play any of my songs! its annoying. so now basically i have no music on my phone

my mom is using this phone for more than 5 months no problems occurs at all the sound of the loudspeaker is awesone, display is also good, and the sound in the headset is also good but not as good as sony erricsson walkman phones.........
i think the only disadvantage of this phone is it'ss camera the picture quality is rubbish like vga cameras.
my openion for nokia is to add a 2mp camera to the phone with flash.
