very good phone 1 word "unbrakable" i dont no how many times ive dropped it by acccident im so lucky it didnt brake!!

Hi all,
I hv been using this phone for over a yr...n I hvnt faced much of a problem with this phone so far...I shuld say its a nice phone...with a unique look...So I would like to rate the features of this phone out of 10:
music:8/10
camera:6/10
video recording:4/10
games:5/10
internet:2/10(becoz its too slow)
thts wt I thk abt this phone after using it!!!

I love this phone, the wife and I have both had one for over 1yr now, by far the best phone we have had (about 6 of them) music and radio work great and have good play time

DO NOTAFF THE FRONT FACEPLATE TOCHANGE THE COLORS YOUR SELF..... The Mic WILL stop working if yo change the faceplate your self. have someone do it for you.
also over time if you favor one hand to do the sliding the phone will eventually become loose and will wobble to theleft and right.
use both hands to slide or slide from the middle.
also battery life is ok. for me i have to charge it twice a day when im constantly using it as a modem.
when im using the phone as a phone i went 1 week on the battery before it started reminding me it was low.
also. I reccommend unlocking it if on t-mobile as when unlocking it you have accss to egsm and email messaging.to use the email messaging you have to get the settings sent to your phone from NOKIA.COM as t-mobile does not support email but nokia.com has email settings for t-mobile. t-mobile didnt like it so unless you have a unlocked 5300 you will never be able to send emails.

I have 5300 for 4 days now, and the BATTERY is a DISASTER. I don't use it that much, but it lasts for 2 days top. I also have 7270 model for 2 years now, and the battery lasts the same as the brand new's 5300. Can someone recomend something? (BOOOOO's for Nokia!)

is there a way to downgrade my phone??
From version 3.93, I just updated it recently to the latest version 5.51..
An action I regretted right away..
Yes the distortions in the loudspeaker are all gone..
But the volume is now low..
I want to change it back to 3.93..
How can I do that?
please help me.. thanks a lot..

TO ALL NOKIA 5300 USERS,
If you want to update your phone, better use the online method. It's much better and safer for all.
If you don't have a slow connection or no connection at all, better update on your friends who do have a better connection or send off your phone to the Nokia service center(Which will cost you-if the phone doesnt have a warranty but free for under warranty).

The Nokia 5300 does only support files not more than 1MB but according to the Forum Nokia site, it states that the maximum heap size is 2MB. I haven't tried to put a big application like that so I cannot guarantee you.

i hate my phone. i have had it about 2 months. the first WEEK it stopped vibrating. i have made sure its on vibrate.... it has recently started to vibrate a little. yesterday the UP and LEFT keys stopped working. i want to take it back to tmobile, but i dont have insurance on, so i dont know what they would be able to do.

am using this phone from past 6months no problems till now, sound is amazing(loud),bt it has cheap plastic used overall it is gud phone as i am having it mainly for music
