Oops I forgot to mention that I also use mine as a thumb drive. Even in protected employer computers the phone lets you set it as a data drive so you wont have that annoying administrator rights window pop up when you try to use it.

I dont love this phone but i do like it. Camera/picture quality was better then I expected and and the music player is decent it's basically an ipod, camera, voice recorder,FM radio and cell phone all rolled into one. One additonal thing I discovered on my own is you can record your phone calls using the voice recorder, that is up to the time limit on the recorder. Mine came with a 1 gig memory chip upgradable to 2 gig. I don't like it's short battery life and phone call volume though.

I think this phone is brilliant because it has excellent camera n video quality and the music quality is very good but only downside to it is that you can't listen to radio without headphones

This phone sux I had Sony Ericsson w300i and after that I bought this phone. It has a very poor battery life, even if I did not listen to music the battery standby time was hardly 1 day. Very poor music quality, and very poor ring tone quality.

this phone is verrry good.
I haven´t one, I have a 6681, but many friends have this phone (at least 4) and it´s a very reliable phone, packed with many features.
-Design is good and sporty but it feels a little bit cheap
-Very good music quality from the speaker and from the earphones (only you need to move a little bit in the equalizer and it´ll do miracles).
-The camera is ok for ocassional moments, don´t recomend it for night pics.
-Display is bright and clear. Excellent!! I have no better words to describe it.
-It´s durable, but take care: isn´t a rock. A friend has one and after many drops it has a little crack on the rear cover and is scraped. But covers are cheap to buy.
-The keys on the keypad are very good for text and dial numbers. All my friends that got this phone never had problems and the paint on the keys are still there.
-The spring on the slider is good too. My friends at the college never had problems with it.
-Battery: it lasts about 2 days if you play music like an hour a day and call 30 minutes
I recomend this phone to everyone looking for a good music phone on a cheap price

The screen pixel size is 240x320.And about the video,there are two settings,one is default,which is 15 secs of video.Other is maximum,which is infinite depending on the space left out in the phone memory or the memory card.

what you have to do is go to settings/display/slide animation.if you turn that off the whooshing sound,or what you call it,will go away.

Iam having a nokia 5300. Iam having a problem ie when the display screen is ON i can here a small sound in the ear peice speaker and when light at the display goes OFF the sound is not heard. Is that sound there for all 5300 . Please help me.

I've had the 5300 for 2 months and had to send it back twice. The end key on the exterior of the phone is sicking. I'm on my third phone and bad customer service from t-mobile. Should have bought the blast instead seems like a much better phone.

Is it durable? espcially for the slider and keys? im choosing between this one and a SE w580i. so which one do u think is better? please help me! Need some comments...

i hate it, iv'e had three - im not hard on my phones, but I do use them alot...i send and receive on average 17k texts a month with emails and texts (for work) and the phone doesn't make sound half the time and it always white screens and locks up...gay - i dont like it...

Hmmm.... from what i know... if u need a phone with symbian OS and durability and cheaper price... the 5300 is yours.... IF u need a good looking phone with slimmer design, 512MB card... go for the w580 but.... w580 has a problem see??? the keypad issue... it also have weak paint that comes off easily around the center button... and... its JAVA so only a little 3rd party application for ya.... and w580 is mroe espensive... hope this helps...

Hi i'm a 44yr old man, I've been using this phone for almost a year now, my wife gave it to me, bcoz she says the phone design is for kids. I really don't care much when it comes to cellular mobiles but when our 13yr old son kept begging me to give it to him I had no choice. I told myself I wanted a new phone that's reliable, fast, easy to use, no fuss and durable, so I decided to get another 5300 (despite knowing that it's for kids). I saw the black version and said that this looks more classy and elegant compared to the red and white I had before. Comming home from the office my son kept on laughing the moment he saw my new phone and just informed me that I just got the 5300 Transformers Edition! OMG! But what the hell, atleast I already know that my new phone is all i want on a cellular mobile!..fast, durable, easy to use, no fuss :)
And oh, my advice is, don't worry what other people have to say when it comes to your phone, what's important is, you know what you want, and you know you're happy with it!

I got this phone from rogers and after I unlocked it it's very nice cell phone it's small and the music quality is nice and i think it's a good choice for people who like to listen to music on the go without carrying another music device like ipod or zune ,,

This phone is excellent! I have had next to no problems with it. The music player is excellent, its a little poorly designed as an MP3 phone, but the sound quality and the included software are excellent. If you're looking for a reasonably priced phone, this is a good choice.

It is a really good phone, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it i had it for about 7 years and nothing went wrong. music played great, takes good videos and pics.
