Comparing 5310 with N73 is bogus.. By the way I have both the phones.. Areas where 5310 win over N73.. Sound in headphones, Display Quality, 3.5mm Jack, Dedicated Music Keys, Beautiful body, Faster OS..

Hi Guys,
I am very eager to buy this phone in the next day or 2, but I am concerned about a few negative opinions that where given. Over all I summed up that the musuc qaulity is good, battery life good, but is it really worth it please I am awaiting a resonse from someone that knows this phone inside out.....??????

I have noticed with the low battery warnings firing up and the phone in vibration mode.. The vibration length is shortened.. It feels as if the vibrator damage has occured.. Does this happen with you also?

I bought this phone about a month ago.
The music player is quite good; better than my ipod shuffle.
My software v5.91 only supports 4 gig memory card, though it does work with 8 gig, but a little slower sometimes.
I cannot get it to show decent videos; i downloaded a flv file and it won't play. I converted it to avi and mp4 and still only get a pixelized video and broken audio when it works at all.
Any advice on how to improve this?
Also, it's hard to adjust the volume with the phone held in the right hand.
Otherwise, it works pretty well.

My 5310 was fine but now my battery life is almost nil. if it is on overnight it needs re-charging. Can't get any joy from the thing, maybe it's a virus as it is not very old and was fine until I went to Italy.

i have compared two 5310s side by side.... one with v5.10 and the other with v8.32... following are the results.
1. after updating to v8.32, the sound really does become louder.
2. the restarting is fixed. i loaded 1.5GB of songs on the memory card and played music nonstop for 5 hrs and there was no restarting. the restarting during calls is also fixed.
the phone is a superb buy but be sure to either get the model preinstalled with the latest firmware (v8.32) or update via the nokia site if u get the old firmware.

So, its faster than UMTS. I think you have made a mistake. Would you clarify what you mean by slow. How much latency did you get? What tests did you perform?

Its the the ultimate sound machine!! But the camera is to slow and the video resolution is very low. Trust me it can bring up the party during a power cut!!! BIG on SOUND!!!

I think all camera fones do not work well under lowlight conditions even if they got flash. so its not really an issue at all. even cybershot fones don't seem to work well in the same conditions at all, i got a cybershot fone before thnking that its better than nokia camfones, but i found myself wrong. if you want really good pictures even in the lowlights, then grab a digicam..

It's a good phone only that the camera and video is quiet poor especially in dim areas. Internet is quiet slow powered only by GPRS with a maximum of 460kbps. Maybe Nokia should improve the quality of the camera for a clearer shot. Overall it's good especially the music. MP3 and MP4 were merge into one device with text and call features. Nice isn't it? Oh, there's still lacking... a tv tuner! Maybe Nokia will develop a downloadable tv program so that we'll not miss our fave tv programs. If that happens then your bringing with you your beeper, telephone, radio, mp3 player, mp4 player,tv, camera and maybe a dvd player! hahahahaha..... someday if nokia can think of it!

mokia 5310 xpress music
handling is good....but it slipes mostly so any leather pouch or covers could avoid them....
sound quality is good...and output is adequate....
the sound in headset gives you atmost pleasure...and md 8 speakers are well enough to party around
signal strength.....cool
camera 2mp.....but no flash its a back drop ! and it works as an other 2mp phones work in night mode...
video clarity is poor as it is qcif
3gp,mp4 formats play in videos.
msging is coool....
if u are very much in to music than u can buy this phone without hesitation..
