is really a bad set. i hate nokia 5310.there r lot of problems coming in it in the strat .. auntomatically the ph turns off bz of battery prob. uff discysting.

of cause,it supports this feature..dont take my word for it search the internet about S40 operating system

bought two days ago ... my features are simple:
Prons:
Slim -- light --- good sound .... sufficient memory
cool pictures and video
Crons:
No Real player support ...sollution: u can receive files .. then convert them to mp3 and mp4 on your lap top.
Contacts have to be saved on the sim card first .. sollotion: use other phone to save contacts using usb .. then place the chip.
I loved it .. 2X1 phone and music ... video is great

Please help me for my questions:
1. Able to use downloaded MP3/WAV/anyTone for unknown/default caller?
2. Able to use downloaded MP3/WAV/anyTone for unknown/default SMS/sender?
3. Able to use downloaded MP3/WAV/anyTone for Time Alarm?
EXAMPLE:
Unknown Caller = Low_Florida.MP3
Unknow SMS/Sender = MyHumps_BlackEyedPeas.MP3
Time Alarm = GimmeMore_BritneySpears.MP3

Please help me answer the following questions:
1. Able to use downloaded mp3/wav as a default/unknown sms/sender ring tone?
2. Able to use downloaded mp3/wav as a default/unknown caller ring tone?
3. Able to use downloaded mp3/wav as a default timer ring tone?
Example:
Unknown Caller = Low.MP3
Unknown Sender = MyHump.MP3
Timer = GimmeMore.MP3

Really awesome handset.Sound quality is supersonic.
The graphics too are stylish.the keypad is a bit flaky.other wise its a good phone..

it is a rubbish phone, i have had this phone since febuary and it has been repaired 5 times, i am just about to have it replaced, i have had so many problems with it, like it not letting me call people, or not lettin me text, or cutting me off in a call, i just thought it was baad signal but when it kept doing it, i had it repaired, and it did it again and well 5 times getting it repaired is a lot.

i have tried to update my 5310 several times, yet i can only get the v 3.63 software- everyone else says they have updated to 7.0 or 8.???? does anyone have the step by step instructions to get this update? i just loaded up the pc suite as instructed, been to software updates twice, telling me i have the most up to date software- but its 3.63?!?!?!!?!/ help!!!

Ive heard a lot of nice review regarding ... moreYes! Apart from all the nice review reg. music, it does Very Good video recording with good audio and video results. I just tried after looking your query and there are two options under video recording - Default and Maximum. Default does video recording for 20 sec i guess; whereas if you select Maximum option, you can record upto 3-4 hours or even more depending on the Micro-SD card capacity you have! Not to mention it does takes nice pictures with 2 Mega pixel camera. Its a nice buy!! Enjoy!!!

maybe u got a defective unit, i just bought 1 today(5310) with no problem at all and i just updated the firmware to the latest and became even better, every basket of apple have a rotten 1, maybe u got that rotten 1, sorry dude, but 5310 reallt delivers good sound quality, better than most of the most expensive units outthere, 6300 is not a music phone, never was and never will be..

5310 sucks , took it to nokia store twice, problem with microphone and media player.I got a 6300 and believe it or not it has better sound than 5310 and the media player has no probs , doesnt restart ever.

hi guys, i just bought the 5310xm phone with v7.01 firmware, and i have updated it to v8.32 and i have noticed no deference between the 2 f/w my Q is whats the hotfixes of v.8.32 or can any1 post the changelog of v.8.32(i cant seem to find it on the web) thnx in advance...
