why does the specs says it can load up upto 8GB msd card? i just bought this unit last 2 mos ago & i already brought this to the service center to get the navy key fixed. and the nokia personnel there told me that this unit is designed to carry 1GB only!!! 8GB is not true! bcoz they told me that if u load it w/ 2gb/4gb msd, it will surely hang even if u upgrage the firmware to 7.01 or 8.32! so sad to have this unit.. how i wish nokia will make a perfect cell phone someday..

camera processing speed is a bit better in version 8.32

hi.i'm using this phone from 5 months.i just upgrade my phone from firmware version 5.81 to 8.32(2 days ago).
let me share my experience...
in 5.81 I've faced following problems...
1)it restarts and hangs often.most of time it restarts during calls.
2)wrong time of messages but this was solved by setting time zone.
now after updating it to version 8.32 (2 days age)
1)it never restarts yet.
2)menu speed and handling in a bit fast.
visually there is no major change except menu phone size is a bit bold and large which looks good.
people using firmware 8.32 please your experience..

Nokia 5310 is a cell which anyone love to use.it is very smart and handsome which create your personality

If you have an old Firmware Version it will restart if you make the upgrade Firmware Version 8.32 you will have a great sound , no restarts . The phone is V.G. .

chino :), 18 Oct 2008i already got an ipod so i wont be making use of the music ... moreunits with firmware version older than 5.81 are the ones that experience frequent freeze/restarts. I've read that it is caused by the format of the music files, ideally you should play aac files only, so if you will use it for call/text i guess that it won't hang. =)

i already got an ipod so i wont be making use of the music player that much. i just like how 5310 looks and plans to buy one. I heard it freezes a lot. Do you think it would not freeze as much if i only use it for call & text and not much of the music player????
please advice.

A piece of thin, sleek and sexy model, dedicated for music, music and juz music... Quality produced by the music phone is really uncompromised.. A perfect make of its kind..
I've not ever seen such a slimmer piece with these kinda features... dats great really..
as its name says camera need not to be of that much higher quality since its not a cyber-shot kinda phone..
Look at the form factor guyzzz... thanks to NOKIA..
i got one 2 days back.. battery backup is amazin..
