I have had this phone (in purple) for about 2 weeks now and absolutely love it!! The menus are user friendly, the reaction time from selecting an option to it going to it is very fast (wish my PC were as fast), the buttons are all slightly bubbled along the center so that it is easy to tell when your finger is sliding on to another number and the side controls for the music / radio are very easy to use and are well placed. It does ring and vibrate if you want for texts, messages and calls.
And I have to say it's the radio that I most love. I work in a cube environment and while we can have radios on, they have to be so low it is impossible to make out talk radio shows clearly, but with this I just tune in to my fav show (Dom and Jane) via the earbuds and voila!
I only have about 150 songs on the phone right now, but that is 4 times more than I am able to fit on my old MP3 player. And I'm no where near filling up the 1G memory.
I love being able to sign in to my AIM account from my phone (each IM is a text msg) and the ability to check my gmail (if I wanted to pay for that extra service).
The front panel is large and you can change the font size so these ever increasingly older eyes can read without issue.
The sound is really good, better thru the earbuds of course, but still very decent even when playing opera or heavy metal.
My only slight "complaint" is that the time display in the upper right hand corner is still very small. I could wish for it to be larger, and visible at all times, even when on power save, but hey, not a huge deal at all.
All in all, this blows that old sack ' s*** RAZR I used to have out of the water!

Great sound quality. I'm not sure about the camera (so-so) but I don't use that as much. The screen resolution is really nice so if you're looking for a good music phone with a great screen, this is it. This is the first phone I've seriously considered using primarily for music. Oh yah - I don't have the problem mentioned in previous posts concerning re-boots.

Great phone for music. Camera is poor quality. I really like the phone except small minor details. I can't figure out how to download videos. Phone says unable to open after I get them downloaded.

i purchased the phone and i think its great. The Camera works very well and the sound quality is through the roof

christian, 09 Jul 2008i want to bey a nokia 5310 and a 8gig micro sd card, but do... moreas I understood it supports only 2 Gb, I'm thinking about buying it but still afraid that most of the posts are saying it restarts alone and about the wrong time of the sms and the missed calls but as well maybe they weren't careful with it .. :( really confused.

Shingi, 16 Jul 2008What is the type of memory card i can buy for NOKIA 5310.I've just bought an 8GB Sandisk Micro SDHC card, and it works perfectly, so at least up to that, maybe even more. I don't know what to do about the frequent rebooting, does anybody have a clue?

i have this mobile for 1 week and the sound isn't so loud . But the camera is great very very good but the video camera is sooooo badd . the battery is good.
finally i think the nokia 5310 isn't the best...

Great music phone,the 3.5mm port is excellent.Quality of headphones are great.It even supports setting a video clip as screen saver.Inbuilt tones are awesome.But i must say the camera is below Nokia quality.Dont even try video....but as it goes,its a music phone!!!by the way,the display is the best!!!If u r a music lover,GO GET one!!!

Hey,
I've got a question for you experts. :)
I need some more space for my music etc. on this phone and I am about to buy a 4gb or maybe 8gb memory card.
I noticed that there are two types of microSD cards: MicroSD and MicroSD HC. Since they both look the same I wonder what is the actual difference between them and if the second one (Micro SD HC) is supported by Nokia 5310?

This phone is great, very handy, sound is good..camera is good as well but the video is terrible..
