This is a fantastic reliable phone. The battery life is immense and all the features are great. The photos look like 5 mp because of the 16million colour screen. Very lightweight and slim. Definately the best Pay and Go phone on the market by far! Love it,love it, love it!

It's nice. One feature i want to off is the Speak now option while pressing the headphone controller for little more time. Sometimes while carrying bag or something i calls numbers that i don't want to call automatically. The person at other side may not hang the phone and i may unknowingly loose all my money

If you want a good quality basic mobile phone then this is it. YOU WILL need to make sure it is running firmware v5.81 though because it's since I've had this that I'm so positive about it. Personally it does all I need heres why:
1. i love carrying music with me, the music player is well organised, and sound is perfect now.
2. No 3G, I dont care, not going to pay to make video calls, no need in my job and dont see the point in social video calls?
3. basic camera, to be fair its good for daytime shots, but if im out in the night I take my damn Canon digicam lol.
4. Series 40 does the job. Clear menus, fast response, active standby.
5. battery is a fighter. i've got an Orange magic number that i call for 2-3 hours a day! its lasting about 48-60 hours thru this. i play games, i send about 50 texts too.
6. it is tiny!! compact design yet it feels sturdy.
so that's why you shouldnt worry about just buying this phone. these points are only valid once you have the v5.81 firmware though! i admit this phone was awful before the new firmware!!
Want SatNav? Get a smartphone. Want Videocalls and fast downloads? Get a 3g Phone. Want a basic phone that just does the basics but to a high level in a small body? Get the 5310. Quit hating, just buy a phoe that suits what you need!

My 5310's battery is lasting 3 and a half days with extreme usage. Sound quality is one step ahead of 6300 and five steps ahead of SE880i. I am happy it doesn't become hot at all even if I speak for half an hour. It stays as cold all the time. Last year's 5310 was bad due to software problem, but my new 5310 which is 2008 batch with new software (V05.81) has solved all the problems that was there in 2007 batch models. To check the software installed on your mobile just type *#0000# and if you find old version just get the new version installed and the problems you all are facing will be solved.

Of course ther is ram nd procsor.bt bcz itz nt a smrtphn(s60) u wnt gt infrmatn abt it.
It doesnt hv 3g.so u cnt mak video call.
Inspit of havng no frnt camra u cn mak vdo call.bt to do dat,3g is must.
To upgrad firmware,go2 nokia websyt.u wil gt evry dtails.

i need to know smth plz
isnt there any RAMS and processor in this phone??
cuz when i compared it with 6210c, it didnt mention anything bout how many RAMS and the speed of of the processor..
another thing, cant u make a video call with it ??
becouze i have a friend his mob is 6228 sliding i think .. doesnt have a front cam and he can make a video calls !!!
so if anyone know tell me :)

the sound is good but nokia (bless them) put the speakers at the back of the phone so put the phone on it's front when u listen to music!!

I find it hard to type on, there is no option to enter digits in the middle of a text, and the camera is very bad quality. Otherwise all is great!

I want to buy Nokia 5310. I read opinios and specifications etc. Found very nice set. Currently I'm using Nokia 6120 Classic. Can anyone of you advise? Thanks

Just ordered this phone, and it's in black color, just came out couple days ago. Do you think it's updated HW-wise? or it's just the same old phone in a new shell. Hope the have fixed the turning off issue.
