Ihave this phone for 3 days,is an excelent phone.I have 2 phone one is N72 the gratest phone for me and this beauty(5310).It is an elegant phone for an cheap price.Nothing to comment for this phone.The negative point is when sombady call me the ring tone is very quiet,but i use both phone on vibra mode,so is no bug for me :).

Just go to Nokia.com and download new pc suit software. and join your phone with datacable and update your phone's firomware.
And Raj please convey me after that upgrade is your phone working great with good internal sound quality and loud. And one thing. Is the camera of this phone is good to capture moderate pictures?

Hi frenz..Ive juz bought this phone.. Overall it is great but the handsfree sound quality is very frustrating.. From the comments here I understood that this problem can be solved by installing the v5.18 firmware for this phone.. But I dont know where to find it.. I would be highly appreciate if anyone there could tell me where can I download the v5.18 firmware for my new Nokia 5310.. Thank you very much!

Iv got 5300&5310 both.it can b said easily 5300 is best in itz prize range.bt 5310 is much mor xpensv(more enuf!).& da xtra advantages?dat it cn gv?16M color,slim dsin,2MP cam(nt above avrg quality evn)&3.5 mm AV jack.datz it.bt u nid2spend a lot mor buks!
Nyway,itz a nyc phn.bt nt da best.i ensure dat.

5310 is good but the hands free is bad low low sound! guys if you have problem, ur phone is hung or the keypad thats not function the only need to do is turn off ur phone if is not working then takeout the battery then take out the memory card then insert again then turn on ur phone then leave one hour or 30min. because ur phone read first the music library and its not ready to use! soo leave a minutes! but it defends on memory card how many gb you got!

Built in handsfree means that 5310 has speaker phone function so you can place it on a table or something else when you are talking.

i think Dat dis 5310 is a gud phone....its ring volume can be increased wid an update 4m nokia.....screen resolution is high class.......camera is decent.......standby Time- 4 days....what else do u need?????Itz da best in dis range.......

can anyone help me cos the sound is very low, and when i increase the sound from the side button after it goes to standby it become the same agian half the volume on.help me pls cos i not hearing it and it's driving me crazy.

in the specification of nokia 5310 i read.. "built in hands free". may i know what does it means.

I have just brought this phone and am very happy with it. Got a 2G memory card with the phone which was great (as i have an Ipod for all my other music).
The phone is very slim and looks great,i brought a case from Amazon (was meant for the Nokia 6300),but fits this phone like a glove and only cost me £1.09 (so i brought 2 of them).
Get this phone it's great... and looks sexy as well (IMO). Am very,very happy with this phone and would recommend it to anyone.

Hopeless Phone, cant even hear it ringing and the music volume is also too low. Can hardly be calld music express leave alone a phone.

My brother bought w850i and my friend bought a Nokia 5310. I had both phone watched carefully. Finding a different phone than what my brother had, and comparing the funtions of w850i with my firend's took me to the decision to buy a Nokia 5310, because it doesn't lack much of the functionality of a music phone. As soon i bought i downloaded Nokia Software Updater and then updated to 5.18 version of the firmware. I gave the phone to my brother. When fully charged my brother went to work with the music on and returned same way. He did not take it out. When i updated to 5.18 version of firmware, sound is now equally high to w850i, but the main problem is that my brother experienced some hangup while navigating folders during the day time. When at evening i tried to send some files to the phone and at the same time operated the phone. The keys were very unresponsive. e.g The Menu did not open. It took time to stop song, and as such. After that i did not experience such problems when later at night i tried. I get an exchange, so is it really a problem. Should i exchange it at the first week or what? Do it fast

Amazing phone, most slim compare to all others, very fast software, excellent sound quality and loudness with firmware update V5.81, smooth with large memory cards, very good camers with auto light sensor and auto focusing, exellent battery life, excellent music player, and also above all excellent price, THANK YOU NOKIA FOR THIS PHONE
